"We remain committed to our ongoing work to ensure that the successes of Bot Nuke Day are never undone by staying a few steps ahead in the arms race with the remaining bot developers and gold farmers. We’re already well underway with our next generation of anti-botting software called Optimus, which is going to be released shortly, and we’re also currently developing ways to remove the remaining screen-scraper bots from the game. We’ll also be continuing to fight gold-farmers on every front.

The team has been dedicated to eliminating the last of the performance issues experienced by some users since Bot Nuke Day, and we will shortly be releasing an update intended to resolve these problems. We’re also planning further improvements to game accessibility and performance in future updates this year.

It look like Jagex is still on the war path, reflection bot has all but exterminated. Now all their focus will be on the Colors. Any thoughts? Comments from the community?

It IS technically possible to remove color bots, however it isn't likely that it will stay as so.

They haven't removed reflection/injection bots from the game….if you don't believe me then go to green dragons/sorceress garden/etc and see all the bots there. The bots are just private.

I have yet to see opencv do anything useful on runescape.

If we go on experience from the cluster-flutter thingy it will be at least 6 months until the release it lol. Not to mention it will most likely make the game be unplayable and look horrible, Oh and it wont end up working.

ClusterFlutterer or whatever u wanna call it, did NOT work.. reflection/injection bots still exist.. ppl keep them private that's all.. why? because it's illegal and u get in shit if found to be using one.. They still "Exist" though..

I have many green dragon bots running on SIMBA. Mine, at least, are color. Although I suppose it's possible for them to be reflection

How would they ban colour bots? By changing the colours on a regular basis? Wouldnt that take jagex lots of time and be easy for the botters to respond with their own changes?

I saw the video as well. When I first saw all the bots back as sorceress garden I thought it was a member script here or something. Guess I was wrong haha

Post clustterflutterer I have seen people demo proof of concept OpenGL interceptors that can grab polygonal models from the pipeline. It is possible these have been developed further into fully fledged bots in private, and the new Optimus update is an attempt to break them.

The GL bots would have no where near the potential of BCEL and reflection because all they have to work with is essentially a "polygonal model soup", just a random collection of models with ids(not related to game id) and position/orientation information, but given enough development they could be much more capable than a color bot.

Jacmob told me about this, he also said that when its a new update goes threw it sends a ping back to the Servers => 'Primed'

This can be done with color, just takes dev commands to set camera far higher so they're able to see everything

They can't stop us, but they could change a few small things that would set us back. However, we'd prevail through that as well.

I don't need it as I have my own fighting scripts.. the rest of your script can stay private.. fighting procedure will be sufficient proof because after a thread like that, I'd hardly say your comment is credible either.

I know injection bots are back because I've seen the output of some.

I think some one even posted here that you can access dev command but only client side abilities only.
But I guess they could technically grab stuff that far away even now days if they have access to it and didn't get baned.

What might bite is if they start playing with the fonts once again. (Last time I had to play with the OCR I got really annoyed since it took so long, Home saved me with a new font set) Right now the fonts are still relatively easy to read/use, but it is my opinion that they could make this a lot worse - but not without infuriating their user base.

There are OpenGL bots being used by gold4fun, these will be broken with optimus and i say good riddance to, goldfarmers like these need there wings clipped.

But if you only have to handle one or two uptext, you can just use length (obviously for your own script only).

Like entering a portal, your only need to look for a blue text (maybe length > 500) and your good to go.

I won't release any of my code as it is all unique and in my personal opinion better then most of what I've seen around.

If you read the thread I stated I was working on one of my own. It is now complete.

I won't release any of my code as it is all unique and in my personal opinion better then most of what I've seen around. The other so-called "injection" green dragon bots don't stand a chance against mine, and they're color. I've also fixed every random, so my bots don't even have any down time. Take it for what it's worth, I'll just post a screenie of one of my machines.

EDIT: If I can make a flawless GDK, I'm sure massive financially motivated gold companies can make one too

The screenshot is pretty obvious edited, using the same account which has 95 hp level, and a low prayer lvl (probably a pure previously), which u lvled them from 1 to 12 and go to diff locations as u take the screenshots, except for the btm right one which u used a different account, then combining all the screenshots into one.

The screen resolution doesnt even look right, u seem to have an ultra 9001-inched monitor. Nice effort though, perhaps devoting more of ur time learning to script so that u really get close to making a real GDK?

Nahhh, that first of the most recent font change that broke us for a few days I simply used color counting for uptext and menu header + math for menu options. OCR we can do without. ;)

Yeah… They would really have to change this game substantially for them to break us - but then we would just blow everything up and create a brand new include. Sorry Jagex, keep fooling your player-base. They know they need us to keep items from sky rocketing in the g.e.

jagex will never completely end rwt or botting… the onlything they're doing is making it hard for there to be free public botting… the actual scripters will still bot with their private scripts and the rwt sites will buy the private scripts for their use. :duh:

It is possible to use dev commands but you have to inject code to bypass the check to see if the account is a dev…

Yuck, that'd really make things look even more 2D'ish. Anyways, we can simply use DTMs within the item excluding the border and still find them. Inventory counting, we can just count the amount of 'inventory background' color within each slot, if it's super low then chances are there's an item in that slot.

I don't think anyone's mad mate, but it sure looks like you're getting hot under the collar. From what I've read so far, they're just looking for some proof to back up your story. We've seen our fair share of people claiming to make (or even will make for that matter) superior scripts here, but never actually show a thing. Can you blame us for being skeptical?

To be honest, what they are trying to do is going to be their demise. They'll keep fighting, we fight back, and it continues on until there is no other such countermeasure that can be made against us.

What would be a good and proper business approach is to just stay stagnant at this stage of anti-bot countermeasure's, with giving improvements (graphical or otherwise) to solely benefit their player-base and build up RuneScape in a prime glory as it was once before. We are at a high stage in colour development, and our Simba program is designed to not appeal to leachers, but to those who are educationally-oriented, (most of the time mature and formal in their expression) and want to be apart of a community.

Way to neutralize color bots? Add more unsolvable randoms. Pretty easy.

probably not, because we don't usually look for stuff on the boarder of msx1 or msy1…etc

Initially it would do much damage if using coordinates instead of colors, but I imagine the SRL developers would quite easily work around such a feature.

Right now, yes it would. A LOT of functions make use of getColor at a certain pixel on the mainscreen. However, there are a lot of work-arounds, such as checking a box for a pixel, searching for text etc. etc. It would take some time to update these functions, but it would definitelly not harm us in a major way.
