Alright, so I decided to get something to eat and left my IPad on the kitchet bench. It unexpectedly dropped, I think I put it to the side, it fell down face first. Now the glass screen is cracked all over and there's a little bit of the black part on the side missing. It still works though, I can still go on my broswer and stuff. Is there anyway to fix this? Maybe I could get the glass replaced or something like that?

I'm not sure if I have insurance, gotta check with my mum later!

I'll post pictures when I can.

obviously you need to go where you buy it and ask for someone to help you it will cost you like 50 - 100 $ for a new glass.

It's going to cost a lot more then $100, it was $150 to fix my iphone 4 screen. Just go to a glass repair shop, google one that's close to you. They usually have specialty glass for this kind of thing.

Sorry about your bad luck.

This is why I bought the Square Trade 2 year warranty for accidental damage. I knew these were fragile and expensive to repair.

But my parents reckon they won't cover it because it's for technical damages only or..? Bought the warranty FROM APPLE.

Say it was stolen then you end up with two.

Ask if you can get a Super AMOLED display instead of glass. (Alot Stronger thats what i got on my anroid phone, you pretty much can drop it from 6 foot and nothing will happen as i found out. :P).

Will they actually believe it was stolen?

If you have insurance through Apple, just take it to the Apple store and they'll replace/fix it.

You must file a police report if you decide to follow this very shady path.
I suggest you just go to the apple store they replaced my screen for free (6 months ago)
