I currently have an account with a combat level of 98 with 99 defence, magic and health.

But since the "Storm of armadyl" quest came out and it is the best spell now specially for mage boxing which ive been doing.. Since the minimum hit for the spell is 110 and the max is around 300 and it's 50% more accurate than the barrage spells…

These are all the requirements it takes to do the GIANT LIST OF 80+ QUESTS before you do Ritual of the Mahjarret, and i also put the skill level i am at now before it. Since I only have 30 QP's…

1>62 farming
54>66 thieving
17>63 herblore
1>41 summoning
11>55 prayer
34>64 cooking
26>50 fletching
31>69 smithing
10>51 slayer
26>62 fishing
20>77 agility

This will take a hell of a lot of time and for the summoning and prayer increases it will put me at exactly 109 combat.. Is it worth it or should I just keep my maxed mage boxer right where he is? (Ive seen few mage boxers using storm of armadyl)

I do know Storm of Armadyl accounts are worth quite a bit if done right.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you're already too high for mage boxing? You won't be hit any lower for having higher defence against magic, therefore I'd say you'd simply be wasting your time. You should create a new account, high enough for SoA, 99 hp, and have SoA quests/etc done to be the perfect mage boxer (1 defence -> lower cb).

I'm pretty sure you get hit less by any type of attack (be it ranged/mage/melee) If you have a higher defense level.

That quest was one of the reasons I pretty much quit runescape. (Mageboxing nerfed)

I don't know if it's worth it. Remember that many people wont be mage boxing you after that because they want anchients only.

I miss old school staking where you could still stake dds+whip..

I wish the quest wouldn't of came out, I don't know, I guess if you can't beat em, join em :\

If people are owning you 24/7 with Storm of Armadyl you should. If you still win the same amount nowadays than you used to, I wouldn't bother.

Does combat level really matter that much when it comes to staking?

It does if your trying to get people who are too stupid to look you up.

You should do it storm of armadyl is really worth it, tried it and love it :P

Not worth it just for a mber, lots of time, and sometimes, you get your ass raped, and splash thru the whole fight. Or they're hp'd and you keep splashing, just keep using blood barrage.

i say go for it, i have a few diff maxed accs, and i would say this would be a good venture :)

(get all the skilling done first, then if you want the CB levels go for it, if you don't, you still got a bunch of skilling levels and no CB levels.)

If you like questing, or don't mind them, then YES.

Arma storm pures/tanks own. Personally I HATE quests and I'm slowly working towards WGS and ROTM for my main, which is maxed. (might just pay friend to do rest of quests)

You could also upgrade from boxing to pking ;)

If you sat in edge and just pjed fights with tb+entangle+arma storm, then yes. :p Having friends/team/clan is nice too, since there is a ton of people that rag and rage people now…

Assuming you have a main, you should learn to hybrid on that as well (safe clan wars is good place to practice).

Basically, Arma Storm is worth it, but don't go straight into wildy risking Virtus.
