Yes. Use <instance of Desktop>.browse(<url here>);
And example:
Static String location = "http://google.com/";
Public static void main(String... args){
if (!java.awt.Desktop.getDesktop()){
System.err.println("Error: Desktop not supported!");
System.exit(1);
}
java.awt.Desktop desk = java.awt.Desktop.getDesktop();
if (!desk.isSupported(java.awt.Desktop.Action.BROWSE)){
System.err.println("Error: Desktop does not support the BROWSE action");
System.exit(2);
}
try {
java.net.URI url = new java.net.URI(location);
desk.browse(url); //<---------------------------------------------------------
catch (Exception e){
System.err.println("Error: " + e.getMessage(););
}
}
if it exits with error code 1 your computers platform does not support the desktop API. if you get error code 2 your desktop does not support browsing, or possibly security doesn't allow for it.
If you get a different error check that your URL is in the proper format and is valid
