Alright so just checked the front page and there's a new price raised on membership fees.

The hello. How far can you go before you start losing members. They were just awarded $100k USD by winning that court case, and they're going after their subscribers? Thats just lame. idk if I'll continue my membership…

@uz3, and then when you forget to pay for a week, or can't afford it that month, they shove you along to the higher price.

Read closer, it will apply to all accounts…..and it also says that if a current account's membership runs out it will have a 7-day grace period before it costs the updated price….so it still applies to everyone.

This is (I believe) directly related to the number of members lost with the bot nuke.

They use to make 5 - 7 million usd a month back off membership in 2006, but now that they probably have half of that, thats why the gotta increase the fees.

As long as you're currently a member and never let your membership elapse, you will continue to be charged the older rate.

In appreciation of our existing members, there will be no change whatsoever to anyone who is a member before the 1st February. The price you pay now will be locked in for as long as you stay a loyal member and we will even allow a seven day grace period should you forget to renew.

Kind of sucks for anyone who is becoming a member, but I don't plan on letting my membership run out so no change for me! :)

They are making very bad decisions imo. This is going to increase "memberships bought in january", but what next? Many people will stop buying membership eventually. This is getting too much for me as well I believe. :( But we'll see…

Problem is that the paying members will just let it go and pay the higher fee regardless of everything. :(

I'm not 100% sure about this so I'll ask. I'm buying my membership via paysafe cards (usually for 3 months at once). If I don't let my membership run out, will I be charged with the older amount every time I renew it, or does that only apply for credit cards. Thanks :)

If you look at the bottom it explains "*These prices are for one month credit card membership and will vary by territory and payment method".

So, I'm guessing you would keep the old membership fee. If not then that's pathetic to say the least.

Most people are still waiting on powerbot or whatever to continue botting, we and RID are some of the only decent bots online, and I'm sure that between us we don't have 8million botting accounts…

nexus had a mass customer base, also powerbot still did (surprisingly after all of the drama with a certain administrator)

i would say 8M might be a LITTLE high but no lower than 3M

Quite a lot of people do. And quite a lot of people go into EB Games and buy a $40 for two months (yet, pay by credit card and you can pay the above prices).

lets hope everyone in australia is rich :p, i always loved the way fagex converted $ to &#8364;, 5 bucks for 5 euros? seems fair if euro wasnt 1.5$ but they do that to every currency which worths more then $ except pound(why would that be? :p)

They did lose a crapload of members when they took away reflection bots, just think about how much revenue they lost per year.
