Ivy Chopper

Hey everyone this is my very first script. I know a lot of it is stuff taken from other scripts but as i said it's my very first one!

It is an extremely basic ivy chopper. It doesn't even have a progress report, if anyone could give me some help with making one I would really appreciate it.

If you can give me any advice or find any obvious bugs again I would appreciate it if you shared but please try to be constructive with your criticism :)

OVER 100 TOTAL DOWNLOADS!!! :D
OVER 200 TOTAL DOWNLOADS!!! :D:D

CREDITS:
YoHoJo i took a lot from his tutorial and put it in this script, technically not copied and pasted but i did type out a lot of what he wrote almost exactly the same. :P
Surfing used some of the chopping stuff from his edgeville yew script.
Iron Man used some of his login stuff (choosing world, members etc.)

Fixed
1.01: Changed a single word to fix the clicking every 5-7 seconds, talk about silly mistakes! :)
1.02: Weird Jittery Mouse thing
1.03: Should have fixed the checking wrong ivy bug (I haven't tested it)
1.04: Changed the antibans to something more believable for someone chopping ivy
1.05: Took out my wrong ivy fix because it was suspicious (makes you look like a botter) and added random to a constant wait time
1.06: After spending a couple hours trying to find color functions that would suit the job with varying degrees of success i managed to add animation checking to see if ivy is finished and got it working I also updated antiban to work properly (hopefully)
1.07: Added a couple of little fixes and improvements. Pixel shift works better now.

To Be Added/Fixed
Progress Report
Pick up Birds Nests
Going to fix clicking the ivy when already chopping
When you move to cut new ivy the bot might be checking the vine next to you too see if it's still there
Weird jittery mouse thing
Change the antibans

I tried to add birds nest but the mouse goes all over the place, i think there are too many things on screen with the same colour :/ can anyone give me some help with this?

Also I can't seem to fix the wrong ivy being checked bug without reintroducing the multi clicking bug :/

Congratulations on your first script, an Ivy chopper was my first script too ^^

Few things though, I see there is an antiban included, but it's only ever called right after it finishes chopping, in woodcutting the most realistic/player-like place to put the antiban would be wile it's chopping. I haven't used the script but it seems like you check whether your still chopping by hovering over the ivy until it's no longer there? So calling the antiban while chopping would move the mouse and mess that part up?

I can think of a couple of ways to correct this without changing your overall method too much, I'll give you a step in the right direction that should fix the problem where it checks for the Ivy next to you if it moved to new ivy.

Just before your repeat wait(100); do:
MMouse(253, 128, 5, 5); //This will move the mouse just above the players current head location (put above the head cause you set the angle to high, this is where I estimated the Ivy will be, you'll wanna double check this.)

So now on the repeat loop the mouse will be in correct position. I'll leave including the antiban while chopping part down to you from here, don't want to spoil the fun you'll have :)

-

I do suggest you find another way to check if the player is chopping, hoovering over the ivy is very bot-like. When there's a will.

thanks for the ideas, im not entirely convinced my antiban works very well anyway. the thing about ivy cutting is most people start cutting the ivy then ignore the client while they watch tv or read a book (that's what i do) so i was almost tempted to only have an anti ban of not cutting a new ivy for a while as if you were afk, thoughts?

I'll put that into the script and test it when i get back form university this evening. thanks again,

Yeah the antiban on my Ivy script is very bare, and very rarely happens. When the player has stopped cutting the Ivy I have few seconds pause, and then a fairly large margin of random added, as if switching back from a video or something. Not sure I know anyone that actually waits on the edge of their seats for that ivy to go lol.

Scripting wise, you'll want to see about how you can check for chopping without needing to hover over it, you'll learn a fair bit from that.

BEST IVY SCRIPT ON HERE!!!! Believe me!!! there is no better one!!!
NOT EVEN Shuttleu's IS A MATCH FOR THIS!!

ran it for 4h straight yesterday :) only needed to stop like 3 times to do the random :)

Shuttleu's doesnt even wanna work for some reason.

Also birdnest picking would make it complete :)

Hands down the best !!! Been running it for 6+ hours intervals :p

Though when in varrock on the east wall near the farming tree patch, it would pick up the leaves of the trees nearby and get stuck. Just move to castle wars and solved.

Wow guys i really appreciate this feedback :)

Mouse(x,y,4,4,true)
ChooseOption('hop');
True is a left click, no choose option menu will pop up.

You never call CheckAndClick ?

repeat
wait(100);
MMouse(253, 128, 5, 5); //Let me know if this isn't hovering over ivy
Until(Not IsUpText('hop'));
This will ban you for sure. A constant wait, and your mouse constantly moving to that same ~5 coords. Use something like PointInBox() to tell if your getMousePos is inside that box., and probably add more randomness.

oh ye i dunno why i put that in there :P

you reckon a 50, 50 coordinate change would be better?

I don't know, that might be too large. Use the knowledge from your screen. Uptext checking is "ok", but you can probably do better such as searching colors from right around the center.

Giant Panda

im bad at scripting so if you could go into more detail about how I would do that I would really appreciate it :)

in the mean time i removed that from the script

He means searching for the Ivy color in the area it will be when you're chopping it, then when that color isn't there you'll call your chop function/procedure.

Giant Panda

2012-01-24 17:14:20

i see, if i can work out how to do that ill give it a shot

EDIT: I have gone with an animation detection system and it's working pretty beautifully so far, let me know if any problems people.

Still looking for someone to help me with birds nests. I have tried one thing that really didn't work and have another idea that im going to try and implement next.

How are people finding the automation detection? working well? also does the anti ban hover over the woodcutting skill properly now?

please can people let me know how they are finding the script! :)

cheers for the feedback man :)

@everyone I know i don't have a proggy system in there but if people could post the levels they are getting that would be cool! Would like to see how my script is doing :)

Awesome ivy chopper! hands down the most efficient ivy chopper! works like a charm while chopping at VW ivy.

Great script. Already got me to about 92 woodcutting from 85. Not sure when I started, but it really wasn't long ago. It sometimes misclicks the ivy and just stands there, but usually just clicks on the ivy again and gets it. Great script and hope to hit 99 woodcutting before my membership runs out! May not, but I'll just rebuy membership and get 99 then. xD

Giant Panda

2012-02-09 04:05:41

cheers guys! :)

@unknown are you using the most recent version? old versions would just stand there until the ivy next to you was cut the new version will definitely find a new piece. it's because i have random timer that goes up to 10 seconds to give a more realistic afk experience that you might be having a fairly long pause

Giant Panda

2012-02-14 05:44:02

is anyone willing to give me a hand with adding a proggy report?

I know there are probably tutorials but it's more fun doing it in a more social way :)

hey thanks for using my script!

that is because i made it and have done all testing at the varrock ivy. if you want to cut else where then you just need to put a "//" infront of the "makecompas 90" parts of the script (btw im not sure exactly what the command is so dont take my word for a exact word match :P)

sorry i have taken so long to help. have been away from my computer during half term.

if you can figure out how to do it let me know and ill implement it. at the moment i don't understand how to do it and i'm reluctant to copy and paste someone elses fix if i dont really know what it does. if you find one post a link to it and ill have a look.

thanks :)
