i went on srl 20 mins after refreshed page for 500- internal error, wtf went wrong? my friends got the same error ?

If he did it in the wee hours and it ran into problems, wouldn't he have to be up in those wee hours or else he wouldn't be able to fix any problems, probably most convenient time for him (Y)

WTF is happening? :S I couldn't get on SRL for an hr or more.. I went to google and typed isthissitedown.. said villavu was down and it wasn't just me.. Pinged it, it was down.. used my iPhone, it was down..

Maybe we were being attacked.

I believe you suffered from an attack I quickly countered (someone was spamming extremely long URLs, Lighttpd nicely gave him HTTP 414's):

But shortly after that it got worse. I blocked a few more IPs, but after that I couldn't even log in to the server due to the bandwidth being maxed for over 5 hours. I'm pretty sure it wasn't over HTTP as I threw down lighttpd to check if that would help. Looking at some logs now:

Well there's only three groups that would attack us and I don't want to point fingers but I am sure everyone knows the groups.
