It is a nice script that I have been working on for awhile. Most of it is tested and works well. The door opening is the only thing that I havn't see work but it should be fine.

Take your best shot, I like criticism.

ahh well i am thinking of making a yew cutter. but i don't know where.
everywhere seems to be flooded with noobs, only 1 tree, or a door.

Thanks for that, but I need more cretiquing. I want to make the script better. Also, if you get progress reports I would like to see those as well. But still, thank you for posting rather than just leeching it.

ok heres a few suggestions from me…slow down the tree switching….cause the walking back and force so often is a bit suspicious. also the banking…it got a full load…didnt go anyway and started looking for bank……so i stoped moved to bank and started again with full load. It went there, found it was full, walked back to bank this time, but it clicked the farthest away booth so it couldnt see the tree symbold to get back.

other then that works very well!!

1: I'm not a fan of long procedures..
2: You seem to like them, because your procedures are LONG..
3: Perhaps you could make procedures like SwitchTree and then use them .. (In WalkBank you repeat what you wrote once before)
4: I don't think how you ignore whether you found matching uptext or not.. It seems to do the same things, whether, the UpText is found or not.. You placed a UpText check (:)), but it's not used (:()..
5: Try using FindObj for a start, when you get more experienced you could try going more into making your own advanced tree finding procedures..
6: hmm… standards–
7: Your main line is long.. try adding a procedure (SetupScript) and (SetupUser) I figure you know what the context of them will be..
8: I can't remember anything more.. There's a long way till perfection, but you have the right attitude..

well as lorax said chop ur main loop to procedures and functions.

compared to my edge chopper, no offence, mine's a .. how should i say.. a bit more safer maybe.

you should add some kind of fail safe if the door to the yews is locked (i didnt check if u had one though, but i saw urs clicked right at the tree symbol)

when it changed trees it started goin from the first tree to the second one until it finds a tree, now thats pretty suspisious, right?

else its pretty good i guess, ur chopping procedure is a bit faster than mine, i have to admit ( i didnt make mine though )

edit:

looking at ur chop procedure this made me a bit laugh :

Forgot I made this thread. . . I stopped messing with it a few weeks ago but I added the most recent version I had. I don't plan on fixing it up much more but you can keep on with the critisizement if you're in the mood.

There is no sane reason for giving these advises if you don't at least think about them..

So, is this script any good?

This was pretty much the first SRL script I made. If I was ever planning on making a Yew Cutter I would rather start a new script than improve this one. I don't like it, at most it may get you through 3-4 loads.

– Still, I appreciate you taking the time to look over it.
