Everytime I type it delays or doesnt work at all, is there any fix for this yet?

Yes, SMART purposely blocks all input.
To type/use mouse on SMART you need to click the 'Disable SMART' button on the bottom of SMART, then you can type.
Sometimes you need to minimize/unminimize after disabling SMART in order to type, make sure that when you are done you click 'Enable SMART' so the script can work again.

you should be able to type through SMART
sometimes you have to minimize smart a couple of times first though

Yes also true.
Try minimizing and unminimizng a couple times, and clicking on the chatbox and trying to type.

Sometimes you need to press few times on letter on ur keyboard so it will type 1 letter

If you minimize SMART, then bring it back up, it will type the letter for you :)
