I'm Travis O'Brien, i am a junior in high school. I love to ski (im a 2nd year captain of the alpine team). i play tennis. i joined this forum one day when i was bored at my grandmas and i looked up bots. registration was closed at the time but i talked to someone on msn and he manually created my account. i started out as a newbie like many of those that are joining now. but the community helped me learn right away and i started to learn how to do things. i eventually started coming to the forum everyday and helped contribute. lately ive been assisting with getting random accounts and i just donated my 2 armies to people who wanted them. now i have 5 accounts 4 are for more randoms and 1 is my main that im using to test scripts/max f2p.

Please show us one (or multiple) of your scripts.

i have no original works. ive only ever edited others to work better/or do something different.

if i really need to make a script, then ill attempt it once i have more free time

Why even hit the apply button when on the application it tells you, you MUST have a script.
Reapply after 1 month, AND with a script.

E: Why does he have the Scripter cup? I could see Helper, but Scripter? He hasn't even released a script yet.

I'd say less than that, about a week to two weeks. Of course, this is up to the SRL staff to decide.

So? He isn't though. He hasn't applied with a script as required so the rules still have to be upheld.

He should of gotten in with the resent nomination (as it had majority yes).
I say close application.
Then start a real poll in nomination thread.

Maybe reset this poll, and have it be the "Do you think he should get members without a script" poll?
Then have an admin review?

Or do you mean higher than Members? Which in that case someone would need to make a thread in a higher board.

Why are we discussing it here? Just wondering? Shouldn't this be moved to the other thread?

I'm quite sure having your own script to apply with is a requirement. I vote no for now.

A couple people have gotten Members status automatically without ever making a script, but they've put a lot of effort into the community one way or another. This is what I personally look for the most in applicants, not as much of their scripting ability, but how they fit in with the rest of us here.

How can I check what have I voted? I am always worried that I miss clicked.

He is much more member material than some others getting in with "good" scripts in the past.

If he is as great as everyone says, why cant he take the time and effort to make a script?

Yes, but that SHOULD NOT take place in applications. The rules CLEARLY state you MUST APPLY WITH A SCRIPT.

If you wanna auto member someone go for it. However, voting someone in under appliances that doesn't have a script is being an oxymoron.

On the basis that you must have a script when you apply. But if people think he's good, auto-memberize by all means, but that should be in a different thread - not for an application.

Anyway, he has SRL scripters cup? Should be easy to whip up a small script showing all the knowledge we're looking for right? :)

Just memberize him… The thread was there for a reason, he contributes 50x more than some of the members being accepted recently.

The poll has closed and you didn't quite make it this time. Please take the suggestions made here and read some more in the tutorial section and improve your script. You may reapply in 4 weeks time.
