Exception in Script: Unable to find file 'srl/srl/misc/smart.scar' used from ''

I've been using Simba for a few days now, and it has been running alright all the time. However, today I tried a new script and I found this error message. It has been doing the same thing for every single script, and when I navigate to that file, it is there in the folder.

I've followed the video and the text guide and have downloaded and re-installed multiple times, including SRL updates and such. I'm not sure what is causing this problem and I have been trying for hours. I've looked around on the forums and google searched the error, but I've found nothing..

I would extremely appreciate it if any of you could help me fix this problem.

Got the same thing today, did all that, been looking around and it can't find files .scar, but there aren't .scar files in the folders, there are .simba files… and I've also got this bug:

I think is due to SRL 5.

@ first guy. Ever since SRL 5 update a few days ago all scripts need to be updated to work with it. Post in the thread where you got thr script and tell the author to update it to be SRL 5 compatible.

@second guy. Common error with MSI. Just close everything and start it up again. Shouldn't happen again. If it happens a lot you can go to c/Simba/includes/MSI and delete the players.txt file (you will need to reenter all info after that) but it should solve it.

I reïnstalled about 7 times but it still doesn't work, the files are just only in the wrong format, Simba is looking for .scar files but there are .simba files in those folders… -.-

Lemmie ask you this.. if you know simba is looking for .scar files when there is .simba files.. what would you do to simba to make it look for the right files? Matter of fact, what would you do to the script.. It seems everytime someone has a problem, they just post a thread. This question has already been answered so I know for sure you did NOT look well enough. Try again because there are many tutorials on fixing scripts/using them.

Else I guess someone else may post the answer as it has been stated in many many threads.

ok, anyways, i've got that fixed, but my MSI still says Bitmap 12 not found…

EDIT: tried what yohojo said again, but now it says Bitmap 22 not found… (everytime I start MSI)

I'll look into this. For the meantime, when it asks if you'd like to save when you hit Run, just select No and it won't error out.

I pressed no and it still said Bitmap 14 and bitmap 10

EDIT: it just always says random bitmaps from 10-24 are missing…

I installed on moms PC worked fine, I reïnstall countless times on this pc, doesn't work at all

.scar isn't used anymore. So in your script change all of the files that end in .scar to .simba.

or just update SRL there, but how do you fix the bitmap 20 error with MSI?

i am getting this same error too.

I have this running on 4 VMs but this one is installed on a standalone pc running Xp, exactly the same as the VM, no difference at all…very strange
