first: I do not think SMART works on my computer. When i try to use it manually, i cannot click. When the script tries to use it, it says that I am playing with a re-sizable screen, which is not true. It never even gets around to logging in.
second: Whenever i get a script to run, without smart, it starts by changing the map view, then almost always it puts the mouse over the inventory slot and just moves the mouse around a little bit, doing that until i terminate the script.
Any suggestions?

Are you sure you have your graphic settings set up correctly? And to do stuff manually on SMART, you have to press disable SMART in the bottom left.
For your other problem, do you have the latest version of SRL/SPS/MSI? Double check your graphics settings again, that could solve both your problems.

I just updated SRL and MSI, but I am not sure how to check my graphics settings. I haven't botted in so long. I used to use scar years ago and only just started playing rs again.

Just load runescape in your browser, and change the settings so that its at minimum and the window size is fixed.

I just ran a script, and it worked just fine. I closed it, reopened it, and tried to run it with a different account, and it failed… oh, well… i'm making progress.

Make sure your graphics are in safe-mode, not software mode.
To do this, press "s" as the game loads.
