I used to worry about the 6 hour logout timer when botting in soul wars.

Now, since I am running some f2p accounts and others outside of SW, randoms kill the scripts an hour or two in.

I think we need more than one thread (need a subsection; sticky with current status of all) for broken randoms, fixes, discussion, etc.

One thread can get offtrack really easy and I think it's a big part of a successful operation.

Here you go Mate, the Official thread:
http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=48120&highlight=random

btw your not alone, we all are on the same boat. By the way, here is a suggestion: Start a Army of 4-5.

:) Although we constantly have people working on Randoms, and trying to get the solvers updated and out there for people like us, Patience is the key Mate!

I know where the thread it :p, I was referencing it.

For what seems to be a big part of the success/failure of the whole community (in terms of functionality; not learning and scripting, etc), we have one thread devoted to it ?

I agree, we should give some priority for randoms, add links to our signatures, so people can see it.

It'd be neat to have a sticky, one for each random.

BTW, someone here is rewriting a lot of the random solvers. Hopefully you will see some public examples of them all in a few days. Ask on IRC and see if they want to share.

I would love to know who this is?

Yeah and why haven't they announced it?

I don't think having a sub-forum + a thread for each random is a bad idea. I quite like it actually. I'd set it up so no new threads can be made, only posts in the existing threads. That way things wouldn't get out of control. Plus maybe a sticky for quick reference of the status of each solver (that can't be posted in).

In running 7 (1 in multi-player config) accounts during a one hour period:
- 1 is still running
- 1 is still in the quiz random clicking around indefinately using MSI
- 5 stopped due to failing randoms (2 freaky forester, 2 sandwich lady, and cap'n arnav)

More organization in the anti-randoms department; I'd like to see that happen.

Has anyone gone over the pros and cons of using OGL for random-solving only?

I've experienced that Quiz bug for a long time, and have never been able to figure out why it happens.

I don't think it's necessary, and we don't have an OGL include anyway. I'd have the same opinion about OGL as Reflection. If we're going to rely on it for one thing, we may as well rely on it for everything else.

I forget his name, but someone is working on all the randoms solvers. He has ~7 or so done. I tested Mime and it worked perfectly, so I think we should give him a few more days to finish them off, then they'll be ready for testing/optimizing.

BUT, as long as no one disagrees, I'll make an SRL Randoms sub-forum in the SRL Repository section.

Why doesn't he just release what he has now for testing? Or at least the ones for randoms which are completely broken. We could get a head start on testing.

And the sub-forum would be solid.

I'm not sure why.
