Hey guys, just wondering what I should do after being hacked for 382m on my main. I think my little brother or our cousin who was on my pc the other day, even when I tell them not to go on -.-, downloaded some programs, forcing me to have to format and reinstall windows. I had 4 runescape accounts hacked, with a total of about 450m hacked, my facebook, paypal, gmail, ebay, even college account hacked. But no major damage was done as they have measures to prevent hackers.

My question is, as I have no money after legitimately earning nearly 400m on my main, what should I do now? I can't even go back to frosts as I'd need a good 10m minimum to start doing that again -.-
I've been debating botting a money making skill, but it'd kill me to then get banned, but on the other hand I can't be bothered to spend all my time earning such a cash stack back :(

The question is what should I do?:P
Some of my 99s include:
Herblore
fletching
woodcutting
thieving
magic
cooking

I also have 87 slayer and 90 dung, every other stat is above 75 too.

EDIT: He's also currently F2P, as I haven't renewed members after the hacking, as he has nothing I can really do yet :(

LRC if your mining is high enough if you want to legit.

Smelting might make some decent profit on Narcle's smelter.

Sorry about what happened man. Sounds like you're taking it better than how i would have taken it. I would not that 10 mill then play the stock market or w/e. Or get your cousin to give you IRL cash. To help you buy some mills.

Yeah, I could do LRC, I'm 89 mining, it's just so boring :P
And unfortunately I don't have any money to spend on smelting, as of yet, so I can't do that :P

It's been a few days, and I've cooled down a little now, I was absolutely gutted when I logged in. They'd gone through so much effort to get rid of quest items, and the like.
He's only 5, so I can't really get him to give me money, and I'm not entirely sure if it was him either.
Once I get about 10 - 20m I can flip again, which used to make me 1 - 5m an hour, and would be somewhere to start, at least…

Make one mill, then start merching. It is an easy way to make consistent money/fast.

Yeah, I'd love to be able to make the mil, it's just so hard with nothing :P
Especially being f2p. I've been debating giving the account away, but then I worry I'll regret it after :P

It's a horrible feeling. I kind of just want to quit right now, because I feel like it'll take so long to get all the money back again. I was hacked for 220m - ish during the powerbot hacking and quit, then tried to earn money get to 382m and get hacked again. Seems like I'm not meant to reach that goal of a partyhat :P

I'm more worried about him trying to mess around with more important accounts such as my bank/paypal, but had all details changed.
I even saved his IP after he tried to access my facebook, but I'm assuming he's using a proxy or something to cover his tracks :(

Every rich RS player I have ever known has one and deposits everything expensive into the bank before logging out. Gives you 7 days before you get fucked.

Spend about 10 bucks on a website and get 10mil. Or, do it legitimately. Go mine some iron. Ores are rising. Sell at high price please.

Edit: It isn't hard to track by IP. If you want, maybe I could help you retaliate. Depends what you would want to do. I'm not risking jail for it but there are other things you can do.

Cut logs in F2P they are worth so much right now.

I do have a bank PIN. I don't see why I'd leave so much money in my inventory when I log out. So :duh: to you.
I'm assuming it was a RAT, but could of been a keylogger that screenshots on mouse clicks or something. Not sure, as I didn't check the programs source code, as I have no idea what was downloaded :(

Gives you 7 days? It gives you 3 days until it gets removed. Also, they can bruteforce it and try to crack it within the time they have it? I do have a bank PIN, and it was in the bank… So yeah. :duh: .

Also there's what 8888 possible combos so say 12 combos a minute.. 72 an hour.. 1728 combo tries a day. It could take up to 5 days to bruteforce it and that's only if they did it constantly nonstop for 5 days straight. Realistically it could take up to several weeks to bruteforce a bank pin unless they get lucky.

A lot of obvious combinations have been blocked from being entered, so numbers related to the account, the obvious ones such as 1111, 1234, etc are too, I believe.
And there's still a chance at it being cracked, baring in mind I wasn't on for a few days.
And like I've said, chances are It was constantly screenshotting, so they'd have seen the PIN I entered regardless.
Realistically, If they even managed to log onto my account, I had something on my computer, let alone them being able to get into my bank.

Bank pin is not only 3 days, you have the option of making it 3 days or 7 days, whichever you like.
