Seems like there are some people that doesn't have any clue on what is required to include in their application script; Maybe we should have a public thread that gives them a few suggestion as a guideline?
(I remember something like that but can't remember what its at)

I'll sort of start it off:
~Multiplayer
~Good Standards
~Compiles
~FindColors/TPA and ATPA
~Walking(?)

I think the thread you are thinking of is in Tutorial Island titled something like "How To Become an SRL Member"

There is also a thread in the beginner section titled "Why I vote No: SRL Member Apps" or something like that.

Yeah, I've seen a list of these somewhere. However, I believe they need updating and that most SRL Members need guidelines for how to votes. I lot of people get shot down for seemingly very bad reasons. For example I've been seeing scripts get shot down for not using TPA's and I find myself asking, "So what if they don't use TPAs as long at it works?"

Aha, thats where it was.

Perhaps we can update (if necessary) this thread and add it as a link in this first post of this thread.?

I don't know about that. I am one of those people who will shoot someone down most likely if they don't show a basic knowledge of TPA's. They truly are not that hard to figure out, and they open the doors to much more complicated and effective practices.

There was someone recently, I think DemiseScythe, who didn't use TPA's and I voted Yes for him because he showed an advanced knowledge of DTM's and used them for DDTM walking and for a very interesting 3-d object finding method.

If I'm not mistaken, acquiring member status in this community is not about creating a working script, but showing that you fully understand the Simba includes. In my opinion, TPA's are very much a part of what is done at SRL and should be some sort of requirement.

TPAs, DTMs, walking but most importantly attitude is my criteria.

Attitude is my number one criteria. Be nice, helpful and gentle but critical when its needed and you're already 60% in in own opinion.

The script however is also important, don't get me wrong. But this joins the attitude. For example : no script -> no will to contribute or make an effort -> poor attitude.
