Alright so… I'd like to set a couple things straight. First of all, yeah I'm like you all, not much respect for the whole community over there, they've quite a bad reputation. Loooooots of scamming from what I've heard.
Lately there was a dispute about Govind selling a simple auto-clicker there for $3 or so. It's super surprising that people would be willing to pay for something like this, especially with much more advanced tools they can find here. But in the end it's their decision to do so.
We're all welcome to post our scripts and such there on Sythe under the Scar/Simba Runescape script section, so that's no problem. I think I'll be doing this soon just to show them what's truly possible with SRL. Maybe some others can join me. ;)
But the issue with Govind doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. He ( I guess him, or another admin?) banned some accounts that were created just very recently for the purpose of posting comments about the whole subject there on Sythe. He said the long-term member accounts were unbanned, excluding those throw-away accounts. I think yours, YoHoJo, was banned for a week, is that right? Apparently that was for advertising, and I was told actually you can advertise all you want in your signature that way.
So I talked with him just very recently on MSN, and we both agree it's gone a little too far. So like I said, I believe most of those accounts were unbanned and he hopes we can just put that behind us. I'd like to say he sounds like a nice guy to me, pretty knowledgeable, that's for sure, and he's pretty friendly. He's someone I'd like to have introduced to SRL.
He told me he'd like come here and see what we're all about, get to know us personally, ya know. He says now's probably not the best of times because some of us are still heated about Sythe recently, and I don't blame him for calling it a bad time to register here based on that. So maybe we could let it go, I think we all agree Sythe itself is pretty poor in quality, but there are some good people there. I'd really like it if welcome Govind here, I think you all would like him. :)
We're a better community than Sythe, so let's prove it and show them we don't hold grudges. We have the best community here, they don't. If someone would like to be a part of this community let's welcome then. I respect he a lot for wanting to be here.
Short version: Govind is a good guy, he would definitely like to be part of the community. The Sythe community is junk, but not everyone. Let's keep peace, shall we?
