Hello!
Some of you may already know me, most of you probably don’t. I usually go with the alias Kosaki on the internet, this account was however made before I started to use that alias.
Who am I?
I am Kosaki, I have been around the RS cheating scene for a long time, and even longer in the general game hacking scene. I am software developer and reverse engineer, and was the creator and owner of KBot (a popular runescape bot) until Jagex took legal actions against me. After that I have been around and helped my friends who were still in the scene and developed other game hacks.
I have experience in a lot of programming languages, including some very low level ones like x86 assembly, but also languages like C, C++, C#, Java, Python, PHP and so on.
Right now I am at my parents place for the holidays and a bit bored. When I am bored I usually do stupid stuff like start reversing games. So I spent some hours writing a small application that works on the Direct3D device level. It’s not RS specific, but I think this may be useful for color bots.
Here is a few screenshots of the program in action:
The picture below shows the location on screen for various models in game. This is a debug mode of the program. A grey rectangle that surrounds the mouse is a selection tool. All the orange dots within this rectangle will be described in the “list” of white text on the right. This is a list of identifiers for the model.
Using the debug tool above you can tell the program to highlight certain models in game as show in the picture below.

You can command the program to do so by opening a TCP connection and communicating with it using google protocol buffers. You then describe what model is to be highlighted and what color it should use. From there on it will be much simpler for a color bot to find an object. The program can also be extended further to send screen positions over the same TCP connection.
I am not sure if I am going to release this tool yet, but I wanted to at least show what can be done without targeting Runescape directly.
Regards,
Kosaki
