@Wt-Fakawi (or whoever created the teddy bear, :p) Is it white or pink?

I did some tests on the whites. Got pretty close numbers, red wasn't too much higher to suggest pink. There were some ones with blue higher though, so that could make white appear pink relative to the blue.

I have seen an optical illusion of a checkerboard tiled floor with a shadow across it such that a 'white' square and 'black' square were actually the same shade of grey, but because there were black/darker squares around the 'white' and vice versa, they appeared to be different.

So I guess it's white, but I can't stop myself from seeing at least a tiny bit of pink in it. :( Anyway, I sort of got your results with my own experiment. Well, lemme explain a bit. In Photoshop, you can enter a color, and then it searches in your image for all the places in which that color appears. Here are my results.

White:

Pink:

Blue(High sensitivity!):

To the human eye, it appears white with a hint of pink in it, so, dunceiam, I think you're gonna have to get a new monitor :p

Okay, so we've narrowed it down to 6 possibilities! :p

1:I'm wrong
2:I have super eye-sight
3:My monitors on different settings
4:My brand-new monitor is messed up.
5:The whole forum is against me, but it turns out I'm right. Hehe…
6:A relativity optical illusion (Boreas said it, so it's probably right. :))

#4 is the least likely option in my book. :) Considering it's about one month old…
Although #5 is probably just totally wrong.

Although the problem with #6, is that why would it only be me that's seeing this illusion?

Heh, someone who doesn't think it's white! But look at post #9 and I sort of ruled that out…Since with blue on a high sensitivity barely shows.

Now I understand th meaning of discussion. :P

But I think it's pink AND white, really hard to say but maybe more white than pink after all.

That is true, but if you think about it. Pink is a mix of red and white. So you could say that someone accidentally put more white then red into the mix. It would cause a color similair to what is in the bear.

As you can see with post #9. There is more white then pink in the bear. But I would still consider that color pink. (Check post #4 for the color…:))

You have to see at least some pink. Like at the place where the head and body meet. :)

Also, another point. If the bear was totally white. Then wouldn't it blend in with the white background of the forums?

white background? i see a greyish blue background so you would be able to see it if it was white.

But true, it has more white then pink. But technically (say that a lot) white is just pure white. You can't have dark white, that would be called light gray instead, while on the other hand you can have very light pink. So rephrasing your sentence, "Since the bears color is closer to white than pink, I'm still goin white…" That I would agree too, but then technically (there's that word again) it should either "other" or "pink". Since it's not pure white. Sort of rambled on there, hope you guys could understand me!

well then its technecally not pure pink either. so then it has to be other.

Not exactly what I was trying to say though…Basically, I was trying to say that there are many shades of pink, while there is only one shade of white. So in order to be considered white, you need to be exactly white, and not a little bit lighter or darker…

Anyway, I brang this up, and it shows how much spare time I have. It's a good civilized argument. I try to prove it using Photoshop, and the opposite side also has proof against me.

Anyway, now that Chuck's lock is broken. Back to the argument. I can't really see how else I can argue my point. My main point, is that it's not pure white, and I agree that it's not pink either. So I'm gonna have to go with "Other".

Explanation:
To the right is the real teddy, to the left is the white balanced teddy.
The cube shows ammount of the colors used. As you can see in the real teddy there is a lot more of pink and blue than on the left white teddy.

It is definitely pink. Everytime I look at it it looks like an extremely light pink. :)

How are you people getting pink? I'm on an LCD monitor, so I will get true color not-matter-what. Its white.
