Alright as most of you know there are TWO known working 'bots'/'clients'/'programs', etc for runescape; SRL/Simba and RiD.

It honestly doesn't matter who's better because before OCT 25th SRL/Simba and RiD weren't nearly as much known as RSB, Pbot, EpicBot, etc and now that its down to the LAST two working runescape bots everyone chooses a side or you'll be like me for instance and use both of them.

Now I'm a paid member at RiD and I'm constantly on the forums and our ChatBox, Whenever 'Simba/SRL' gets brought up on RiD nobody starts flaming about it or saying it doesn't work, etc but in most cases when RiD gets brought up here on simba/srl just about everyone flames on the subject including mods, its pathetic.

What I hear most about RiD on here is:
"Bot suckz!!1"
"Unstable bot sukz!!1"
"Not an Open Source!1 so it suckz!!!1"
& The list goes on.

Yes RiD is not an open source, There's only one programmer and one scripter and that'd be the man RiD himself so imagine there being a few bugs found from each script on times were runescape does update or whatever RiD has to Go through all the player submitted tickets, figure out whats working and whats not working along with implementing a solution.

RiD does this all by himself, Runs a website, Hosts a Bot, and writes the scripts. Now everyone at RiD knows that RiD himself is a very busy man and doesn't have time to sit on his ass all day but whenever something goes down or isn't working working as it should we know that RiD will be fixing the problem as fast as he can which is always less then 24 hours depending on the severity on the problem(s).

Now about the scripts, Most people complain on how there aren't enough or how there isn't any good money making ones. RiD doesn't support gold farming and he plainly says that in the introduction, which is why there aren't any scripts directed to making money and which why you can only bot on 2 accounts using separate bots on one IP. RiD does take suggestions and community polls on future scripts so the script selection is mostly choose by the community.

The flaming is pointless, will it stop?
No, I just felt like pointing this out that its a one man team at RiD and if any of you think its that easy then go host your own website with a closed source bot while trying to go through the course of your personal life.

This community doesn't like anything closed source or paid, so the flaming will continue.

I assume what I wrote was tl;dr for you.

I haven't seen much RiD flaming recently, and by creating this you are just stirring up the pot more and making room for the flamers to flame more!

I've seen mixed things, but most of it mature.

Some say certain scripts are nice and work well, others say it is okay, others don't like it, everyone is free to say what they wish and have their opinion, I'd just be best if it was factual or backed up with good evidence/actual usage and testing of the bot.

None of what we say is flaming in my honest opinion, most of it is fact.

From personal experience, RiD is overrated greatly. We DO do more here, and have more variety, and we're much more friendly, and we don't look at people as profit.

Btw at RID people says how shit Simba is because lack of their skills to set it up correctly :P

Simba is the best. Not only because it is open source, but also that i can create my own scripts. RiD is a pretty nice bot, but you have to pay for it. At simba if a script isn't working the way you like it, you can edit the script to the way you want it to work. For me this is a huge PRO! Also RiD is charging people to get the scripts, i don't know how RiD's scripts work, but asking that much money for scripts is insane in my opinion.

I havent seen any flaming, but if its wasnt for corporate greed, RID wouldnt exist

When I first tried, I noticed how it could not even find the rock colour, and the only good thing about RiD is the fancy mouse-moving. Apart from that it never worked. First impressions and all that..

How can one man be the equivalent of corporate greed? Anyway this shouldn't have been posted, I agree it just stirs the pot. Each side is very prejudice against the other that's for sure. People on RiD refer to Simba as 'the sure fire way to get banned' which is false so you can't say RiD users aren't unbiased against Simba. There seems to be many misunderstandings and assumption on both sides.

Well if you can afford to spend the money then paying for credits isn't a big deal.

When I say afford, which is usually a controversial catenative verb, I mean that you have the money and resources (paypal, credit card, etc) to spare for the purchasing of credits.

I've seen this problem multiple times from users and this is usually a problem on the users end, not the bot.

Meh enough of these threads, seen too many recently.
Try each out, and find out for yourself.
