I know the devs in this community often request anyone willing to lend an account that's stuck in a random that needs to be worked on. However, if we used a private server of Runescape, couldn't we just script the solutions there? We could go to whatever random we want whenever we want without having to wait for someone to get stuck in a particular area.

Correct me if I'm wrong about this. I'm open to criticism.

Private servers don't have the up-to-date randoms of real RuneScape with stuff changing colors etc and hence are useless.

This has been discussed many times, it would be great though, if we could have an update randoms : )

Just press F1 and voila, Molly pops up : )

Ah okay, I knew someone had probably brought this up before but I just wanted to make sure it was mentioned and not assume someone had discussed it. I thought Runescape's code was open though? That's how I thought private servers were created, anyway. They're all out-of-date from real Runescape?

The code has to be deobfuscated before you can edit it to start using it as a private server :(

That would produce gigabytes of data if you want to actually use it.
Speaking about few minutes.
We need exact colors so the video should be very high quality.(every frame should be a 24bit bitmap)
Although low frame rate should be technically enough to get colors/shapes/density/whatever, with reduced accuracy tho with all the spinning randoms.

Hmmm i'll start botting on my noob account so i can lend it out for randoms, if thats the case!

they are probably used for the simpler things in a random but private servers can only mimick to the degree while runescape is well the original thing, i get the idea it is a good one but there will always be tiny problems

Private servers are usually made from scratch too so it'd take long time to get uptodate with runes ape :( Rs is @695.1 while highest commercial server I've seen is 640 so there's slot of differences and such :/ also jagex added another layer of obfuscate, making it harder to deobfuscated.
