I'm new here, I'm looking forward to contributing to the community. I'm going to look into the tutorials, as I have no previous experience. Can anyone post their learning process? How long did it take you to create your first script? How long to be competent?

Welll to begin with, it took me about a week of tutorial reading to make my first chop n' bank script.

After that I made a clay softener, and an improved power chopper over the next 2 weeks.

Then I began my Members script, took Mr around 3 weeks to complete that, learning new techniques.

I would say I'm fairly literate now, but there is always more to learn. Just keep making scripts and you'll be fin.

I tried the scripts here, and I got a few questions.

Is it possible to make like 50 mouse cursor movements, and have it randomly pick one every time you go to bank. That would be effective to not getting ban.

You might give these a whirl:

We have functions that basically do that for you such as

MMouse(x,y,rx,Ry) where rx and Ry are a random amount of pixels off from a point.

Mouse(x,y,rx,Ry,left:boolean ) which is pretty much the same thing but either left or eight clicks.

Pardon the lack of use of tags, posting from my phone in bed.

Oh alright, thanks.

I'm reading all the tutorials retyping everything a couple time to get it in my head. Haha

Just read all of it, and tested a few scripts.

Lol going to sleep now 5:40 AM.

Whats the different between a global and local var?

global variables are declared at the start of the script e.g.

program program;
{$i srl/srl/misc/smart.scar}
{$i SRL/SRL.scar}
var
x, y: integer;
trueorfalse: boolean;

local ones are declared in functions and procedures e.g.

function addorsubtract: integer;
var
something: integer
begin
end;

hope this helps

Global is throughout the whole script, local is within just part of it.

Look at this http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=58935

That is by far the best guide on this site.

Welcome! It is extremely encouraging that you are asking for resources - that is the first step to learning, I think.

Try looking at other people's scripts once you've read tutorials and just try to understand them. Maybe your first scripts will be hacked together by cutting and pasting from the work of others - remember to record credit where credit is due. Most scripters here don't comment very well but you can usually figure out what the scripts are doing.

When you start writing on your own, take small steps and test along the way.

Also be sure to keep asking questions! We're all here to help each other.

Can someone tell me what I did wrong?

Well you have no option set in your number 3 spot. Also, use simba tags.

I do have option for number 3, what do you mean by simba tag?

Copy pasted your code here, then write
around it. It is easier than a screenshot. And my bad, you do have an option three, it is just not where I expected it.
This is what it should look like I believe:
begin
if(not(LoggedIn))then
Exit;
case Random(9)of
0:
begin
HoverSkill('Ranged', false);
wait(1900+Random(1000));
end;
1: PickUpMouse;
2: RandomAngle(1)
3: HoverSkill('random', false);
end;
end;

Would a Mobolishing Army script be possible?
