Hey guys looking for cheap credit card alternatives.

The cheapest I have found is the Walmart MoneyCard which has only a $3.00/moth fee.
Can anyone else find/suggest any better 'cards' I can get that will work as a Visa/MasterCard?

I know walmart (at least used to) has prepaid where you buy a $100 card for like $104. If you only need that much and its going to take you a few months to spend it that will be cheaper. That card also doesn't require a social security number like the moneycard does (however, if you activate it over the phone you can select an option saying you don't have a social security number so you don't have to enter one, if that is still available, not sure.)

Ahh yea, something prepaid with a ONE TIME ONLY and not a monthly fee would be more right for me I think thanks for letting me know I'll look into those.

Vanilla Visa is like ~$5 onetime fee, a bit less if you find the right ones.

Why not get a proper credit card from a bank? It's much cheaper as long as you don't spend what you don't have.

Yeah, go for the Vanilla Visa. Love them and it's a one time thing.

Hmm I will look into those hmm, get them online or in store or both?
One time $5 fee huh sounds good, can I refill them or must I get a new one?

You must buy a new one. I don't think they sell refillable ones (and if they did, you'd probably have to pay $5 again).

Why don't you just get a Visa Debit card from your bank?

The age limit here is 15 for them.

They are not refillable. The Wal-Mart MoneyCard is refillable, but that $3 monthly fee is…ehh. You also have to provide your SSN with the MoneyCard so I stay away from it. If you just buy a $100 Vanilla Visa, that should last you a while and the $4 or so they charge you to activate it won't be bad.
