Feelings about 24/7 Botting?
I am curious as to how others feel about it. Do you do it? Why do you or don't you?
Discuss.

I don't mind it as long as I don't see a million boys crowding up the place.
Feelings? Pointless bot 24/7 until ban? Why, what do you gain? Even if you xfer the money you'll get some money quick and then the account is gone forever.
Why not bot smart, keep the account, keep the goods, and actually have a gain instead of a wasted account and time.

Suicide botted since March, its totally worth it.
I bot on a really valuable account, pretty much I am almost completely sure I won't get banned. =)
~Bans are a Myth~
Bot however long you feel comfortable botting and remember that you should only take risks you are willing to take ^.^ be careful at it
EDIT:
I botted 6500 hours on my main since I discovered bots without getting caught.

Top tips I got in regards with evading the ban hammer is to dress up in a way that you wont get much attention, I wear mostly dark blackish outfit like all task items together. Another important thing is to switch worlds every 6hrs. I never botted in the same world for more than 6 hours, find 5 worlds you like, rotate them. there should be 1 world you dont use at all per day and this odd number should make sure you never in the same world at say 5pm two days on a row. 50M RC experience on one of my pures. Several in the 40s and 30Ms of RC xp, they all safe because of my hopping worlds. Although I only hop'd them every 12 hours. This is the schdule I had:

Every 12 hours would complete a phase, so that would keep my pures from being in the same world too often. All low ping worlds too. Most legitters always play in the same world, using diff. worlds will get you noticed by the legitters for the lowest ammount of time =)

Those who do suicide bit, please explain the scripts, hours, locations, etc about how you bot. How often if ever do you change up skill or location.

Thanks to suicide running each skill lol. Started this account about half a year ago or a bit more.
I suicide one skill to 99 usually. Example is my signature below. 2 days, 5:44:00 run time.

I see nothing wrong with suicide botting. Its the users choice. It raises the chances of getting banned (which does happen just in my experiences very rarely) but it does have a lot with the choices of the botter *Location and crowdedness are key and what one must watch for and make predictions based on. If you dont get caught it pays off huge in the end :)
Personally when I used PBot I would go to crowded areas where youre more likely to be with other botters and are less likely to get banned. Mining was a skill I would put as a priority to bot because I hated doing it legit. In my experiences I would make a mining pure and bot it but out of the three i made 2 got banned because I botted in a small area were legit players are more likely to be found (at the time it was Lummy west swamp). I did not normally change the script and I would bot 24/7 on the pures but I would bot 12-15hrs on a main while monitoring because I was more concerned about it.

Derp you did 2 day 5 hour nonstop?
68z is it literally all day for 7 days besides when script messes up and you need to reset it or something? What scripts you running?
Basically yes there might be a few hours total that were caused by CRASHSMART issues or other things. I go on straight power runs. Lol
edit:Used to use Slades Runecrafter to run 80+ hour runs lol never had any issues. This account is my ultimate project.
edit the thread name, sounds like a thread where people discuss feelings on committing suicide and etc xD

Why do u even bother playing.. Just an opinion but tbh, there is no point of botting every skill to 99.. No point to the game. If your just going to do that, why not just quit and save yourself the trouble of downloading scripts?

Some see that a challenge
Dude, I was on the portal page and it said "Thoughts about suicide…" and I thought it was about suicide o.O.
Lol can we get a name change to Feelings about 24/7 botting? Also I do see it as a challenge and I feel that the game is more fun with a max account to do ANYTHING with basically. So why waste time when you can get away with insane bot logs. Lol in another few days I will get 99 fletching then it is on to the next one. Why not endgame Runescape(for a day).

I 24/7 always, I am really confident Jagex does not track time in game otherwise I would of been banned by now
I used to get 5day+ progress reports before something caused my script to break.

I wouldn't bot all day withou stopping. I'm always watching closely the script, and sometimes, when I leave home and I leave a script running for 2 hours without supervision, I freak out!
Using a script on a main is always a danger!
So, it really depends of the one who is running, the responsability of being caught by Jagex or legit players.
I don't risk that much.

I have a legit main, I haven't botted on it. It's fun to play legit while you have several bots running in the background. Right before I left for the holidays, I botted on an account that is going for 99 mining. I absolutely hate mining, and if the way that I'm doing it works, I'll do it on my main just to get it over with. So far the mining acc hasn't been flagged, has gotten maybe 5 randoms at most, and it is almost 60 mining.

My max cape is fun, and this account is 7 years old, mostly legitted, was a pray pure. I don't play the game now, I just script. Game stopped being fun like 2 years ago.
An old place that I remember that I used to abuse with nonstop botting was God Wars Dungeon. Fighting the Aviansies with a crossbow. Got my guy to 98 before I got sick of fighting other bots down there. They actually could be profitable again if somewhere wanted to make a script for them. I might look into it personally but I dunno if I'd release it.
I think it is like 1/4 drop rate for Adamant Bars which are around 3.1k each right now. They drop many noted items and you can use bones to peaches to camp there for literally weeks if you wanted to. It is also 30-40k range exp per hour.
The only real 24/7 botting I did was back when idungeon was around, I just wouldn't turn that off, it seemed like the only thing to turn it off was rs updates lol.

Would be interesting to make Avansie script. I can find 3D objects which ever position they are facing ^.^ That is how I find banker that walks around in ZMI cave, anyways, ZMI should be done in few hours, if anyone wants to bot 24/7 RC, you could be looking at 1M RC xp/day

I would be interested to see how you did that.
On a side note, I recall Av's have some distinct color differences than most of the other monsters in GWD. An Avs script is a very reasonable thing to consider doing.

3 Point DTM and DTMRotated. ^.^
It really works l, you just need to find colors unique and put the points close together. for avansies, could focus on the wings or on the head.

I'd also like to know how he found objects in any perspective.. I would believe that he either used the color of the clothes on the NPC.. or the baldspot on his head.. as no matter what direction he faces, those will always be the same with a tolerance.

I don't really bot for too long anymore, used to over 24 hour runs on my main during the 'reflection era' and not bat an eyelid. Now that a lot of people quit and there's a lot less people botting, I've started taking it down. Now I do like 10 hours overnight, stop it when I wake up, then play legit later in the day.
-
Also for a lot of people, botting became the game. For them it was just like one of those facebook games, where you buy something (raw material, buildings etc…), come back the next day and it's generated money or w/e, then they'll buy more of the 'something' and continue. Translated to RS botting, find a script, set it up, run it. Come back next day they collect their money/item, buy more, go again.
Now that the era is over, a lot of them don't know about color bots (or have no interest in this communities interests) and they've quit.
24/7 botting is only riskier because your more likely to get stuck in randoms for longer, or stuck in endless loop for longer, not because you're skilling for longer. Some of the hours legit kids put in rival most botters.
The claws on their feet all seem to be about the same color. Lol Also I would love to test out your ZMI runner if you need a tester. I got 96 rc and want to finish the skill.
edit: Until I find a new skill to work on my of my botting is happening in banks on busy worlds so I am less likely to be noticed in a pile of 130s+ I also change my outfit from day to day to show activity. I assist people and do other general things a high level would be asked of. I have been reported(while I was watching) 7 times. I have zero marks and no issues with 'D'agex. They leave me alone, I think the sporadic and unpredictable script failures or minor errors that log me out make me seem more legit because there is no set time frame for anything I do.

Rough stimates show 36k/hr on my account, version is stable but I am trying to slow down the clicking around the pray altar because it is missing it. I also need form, on screen paint and to add method to count xp/hr which I already got.
Worked like 6 hours on this ZMI last night, 2-3 hours today and almost finished =)
Edit:
I love being maxed 138, people call me a bot not too often but when they do, I flip and troll them until they run away. Besides, most 138s with 2300s totals just ignore others using "I don't talk to low levels" as their excuse

I disagree. It is more risker hs Jagex as more likely to keep a closer eye on you…

There's so many people clocking more hours than you that length you play for doesn't really matter. I doubt it's even one of the things Jagex's detection system/team even pay attention to.
I remember back in the day when I first started botting, I was alching and set the timer to 6 hours, but I must have typo'd and put in 16. Came back home the next day and found I was 15 hours in, I was so worried for 2 weeks straight. Slowly I just realised it hardly matters.
People used to run their iDung, frost drag & other stable bots from RS update to the next, some went to 6+ days. Very few of them got banned. I've done over 24 hours myself plenty of times.
Out of all the reasons people get caught for macroing, length of play is probably 1 of the lowest.
Have faith in what you use and you should be fine.

it was possible to bot 24/7 with reflection, with color its almost impossible but we can still bot 6-8hrs which is very very good, i dont take much breaks from botting, main reason is that i have all quests done so not much to do besides skilling lol
Wasn't there a 400+ hour progress report with a color script before? I think it was Tarajunky's (Forgive me if I'm spelling the name wrong, please) chicken fighting script. It had numerous 200+ hour progress reports and even one that was about 400+ hours, maybe? With no breaks too, I think.
24/7 botting with color is entirely possible.

I am enjoying reading everyone's opinions. It is interesting to see everyone's view on the topic. I guess when you think about it, they cant ban unless there sure it's a bot. For all they know, it can be a guy on 4 cans of red bull up all night.

Back in last reflection era i botted on multiple accounts 24/7 even my main with idungeon.
The ONLY bots to ever get consistently banned within the week were iron powerminers who were grinding for LRC, probably something to do with standing in one spot for too long because it wasn't a high traffic area.
Also I had some sorc garden bots banned probably due to player reports, but no where near the consistency of iron miners.

I used to do it, never had any accounts banned. Maybe I was lucky? Did mining. I even botted mining to 96 on my main in LRC.
I bot 24/7 right now? Solid scripts and good use of simple .bat files and you can bot all the damn time.
I refuse to not anything over 4 hours I have gotten banned 3 times for macro on same account

I generally pick a skill and bot it straight up to 99, unless it's a very long and tedious skill where I will rather devote some time to attaining a certain level and moving on to a new skill (I get bored, even when botting).
From my experience, botting 16+ hours a day (the most I can pull with sleeping 8 hours a night and working 10-12 hours a day, CBA to check my bots all that often) is that it's totally safe as long as you've got a solid script with good antibans and protection measures. I recently botted up farming with Flight's Livid Farmer; had no issues whatsoever. Wear random shit that a player would wear to show off/look cool in for bonus points. I usually run around in my vet cape to keep staff eyes off me ^^

I bot 12-18 hours a day, Depending on how long I am awake for, Can be less if Smartmanager fails and I'm out. Generally I go for cheaper options with slower xp so I have to bot for longer to reach the goal as quick.
