Ripping features for lite?

I was thinking of ripping most custom features out of the full version of my tanning script and making a bare-bone version of the full version for a lite version.
When I mean bare-bone, I mean this:
Regular MMouse, does not use Flight's HumanMMouse,
Randomness in clicking is bare, but there is some at least,
Standard anti-ban, the more sophisticated anti-ban system that I thought of won't be in the lite version,
No paint,
No multiplayer support,
No break system,
Only supports cowhide to soft leather or hard leather,
Supports only Al-Kharid

Is that going too far in limiting the features of the lite version? I don't want to ward anyone away from using my script, but I want to, in a way, motivate them to achieve SRL members for the full version.

I'd leave the antiban stuff but maybe limit what they can tan. Maybe have a max time before it stops.

Might have it only tan normal leather.

Yeah, the lite version will definitely support only cowhide options. But even that is about a 200 or so gold profit per hide, lol.

I was thinking of having a set time period, as I posted a thread about it before. But as others said, it is easily bypassed by someone who digs deep enough in to the script. :/

Nope, I think it's perfect.

if they can dig into a script and remove that, then i think they should think about have a go at getting members

If you make it deep enough not just an if in the main loop than it is good enough just as others said.

Like check for it in functions returning a boolean(false if time is up) and (not or) put it at lot's of places. So it would be annoying to remove all, but if they do succeed then their prize is the "full" version :p.

Still keep it to be a quality script, just limit runtime/# of loads.
Try to 'hide' the line like space it out past simbas borders or something.
I doubt many non-SRL look past the setup, let alone understand the code/know what to look for to make it 'non lite'.

Agreed. Anti-bans should be must in all scripts, regardless if it's premium or not. I also agree on the limitations of the features related to the script itself, like what items you can tan and how long the script will run for. Removing the break system and just having it shut down after so long. I'm sure if they have enough knowledge they could put in their own, if they know what's good for them they won't simply remove the time limitations and removing break as well all together.

Ctrl+F for TerminateScript, your "stop phrase" (such as "Lite only runs for 30 minutes!") and then removing that, etc. Anyone with half a brain can remove lite features that are coded in such as time limits.

Do a load count limit? Remove the option of how many loads from the script, and you wouldn't necessarily need to use terminate script, just log out, and then if each of your functions check to see if it's logged in, terminate it. Place it somewhere outside of your main-loop though as others have suggested, like inside object finding or something. Just don't specify the # of load restriction, only that it is restricted, that way, people don't know what to look for.

You could even make this harder by doing something like 1+RandomRange(20, 32), that way searching for an exact number wouldn't get anything.

Well of course the lite script would have anti-ban, but it wouldn't have all of the custom anti-ban that I'm thinking of actually implementing. Along with the neat little system I thought of that builds up over time and then when it hits a certain point, it will do a random anti-ban procedure.

program new;

var
LoadsDone: Integer;

function TanningOK: Boolean; // Filler "If" function
begin
// Result := Obscure math function to equal 5 that is also a very long function
end;

function TanningWhatHides: Boolean; // Filler "If" function
begin
// Result := Obscure math function to equal 10 that is also a very long function
end;

procedure NoMoreHides;
begin
// Some form of obscure script exiting
end;

function AlKharidChecking: Boolean; // Filler "If" function
begin
// Result := Obscure math function to equal 45 that is also a very long function
end;

procedure SecondaryReport; // Time checking
var
Tanner: Integer;
begin

if ((not(TanningWhatHides)) and (not(TanningOK)) and (not(AlKharidChecking))) then
begin
Inc(LoadsDone);
if ((TanningWhatHides) and (TanningOK) and (not(AlKharidChecking))) then
NoMoreHides;
end;
end;

begin
SecondaryReport;
end.

When LoadsDone = 1, the filler functions will result true, by the way.
Something like that, maybe? Just a lot of obscure math functions.

I was also thinking that maybe having Simba purposely result in an error when they try to remove the time limitation. If they can fix that, then, well, they should probably apply for members.

Haha, like with "obscure math function" you divide by zero only if time is up.
Not with if statement, something more clever of course. Although I' afraid the lite thread would fill up quiet quickly that way.
"Omg, I can't haz geepeez script throwz eror!"

You could hide the limit in a load of confusing math(s)

For the "You have reached the time limit" message you could do something like:
WriteLn(GetPage('http://pastehtml.com/myhostedpage'))
Exit;
If that is in the main loop it will terminate the script without those words beging there, just stops CTRL + F'ing

Edit: I should have carried on reading after the first few post sorry
