I haven't been on here in forever! I don't think anyone will remember me but I'm Vivek from Palo Alto, California. I just felt a little bit nostalgic and thought I'd drop by! I wasn't really too active (posting-wise) on the forums (internet-shy I guess) but I loved to see the cool scripts and (ya know) the occasional dramas :)

Just wanted to say that this was where my programming career started. Now I'm a web developer in one of greatest universities in the world and I'd just like to say that I owe it all to you guys. :f:

Haha, naw. My buddy did though! My parents actually moved here from Bakersfield, California right after I got in. So technically I'm from there :)

Must been great there:P Whats your buddy's name? Maybe I even know him ( if he graduated in 2010)!

Thats great and I guess many other people here got their first programming experiences here ( like me); Which is actually probably more useful than learning how to make little graphic applets on java.

Haha, I'm glad you remember me! And yeah, I remember coming to this forum solely to get more money and experience in Runescape and came away from it loving how to program. I just sort of rolled with it and it got me pretty far :)

I've switched over to Ruby on Rails recently and I'm working with a Javascript data visualization library called d3 to represent interrelations between social networks (primarily through Facebook API). Up until this time I freelanced a bit pro bono for non-profits but decided to switch it up.
