SRL Archive - First Scripts

Hello guys,

Im really new to the forums (obviously) and i just started using some scripts. Im from holland and im almost 19 years old.

Now the serious business: I became very interested in scripting lately and i have been peeking around in the scripts that are here on SRL. Now im kinda feeling like i want to make a script too! I will still have to go through all the tutorials. I have a basic knowledge of PASCAL. Anyway my question to you guys is: What kind of script should i make first? and what is fairly easy to make as your first script? I was thinking about an edgeville mankiller. Lately the herbs have been going up a bit and if it functions well, this is the perfect pure script.

Anyway guys i'd love to hear ur suggestions and/or advises about which script i should make and why.

Anything at all my friend. :) I'd recommend just something simple at first, as something that might seem simple to you now like a fighting script might prove to be a bit tougher than you'd imagined. Maybe a simple power-chopper or power-miner, possibly a fishing script. Just anything to give you a sense of how scripts work and a feel of the SRL library.

I know, as i said, i became interested in scripting. And i dont want to have someone elses script, cuz than u still cant script :)

I totally agree with you,but if he dont know the forum,its impossible to him to know where to put the things.

Incorrect again :p I am fairly certain he is a fellow capable of reading stickies and forum section titles, especially since there is one specifically for introductions.

And I'm not mad, just pointing out something.

You can always head over to the Script Requests area, get some ideas from what others have requested.

Right now I'm just creating scripts for things I need, then as I'm using them I can make changes & corrections based of what I see happening. Is there nothing you wish to bot in RS atm?

At the moment im making a Willow powercutter, check out my signature. But after that ill make a mining script, but what do you want? a powerminer or 1 that banks?
