Color Tolerance and Flag

Anyone else noticed this:

Flag behaves different.

  1. It dissapears of the map at random times.
  2. It dissapears when you are in distance 8-12 pixels (!)….but not always.
  3. It hangs more often then it used to do.

tl;dr: The RS-flag has much more randomness in it since a couple of days.

Colors seem more dull/basic, but the ranges in fact fluctuate more.

  1. I need to raise the tolerance for all objects, since the colors prior to the last update do not match anymore.
  2. Colors greatly vary from log to log. Log Out and In, and lots of colors are of a totally different colorrange, but appear the same.
  3. Many colors now seem not alike, yet my cursor has a great appetite for those ranges.

tl;dr: Colors are…. different.

Ive also noticed if you click somewhere where you are unable to walk (eg; where the bankers are at a bank) the flag will now stay there

This! lol. been messing up my summoning procedures so instead I made the bot drink potions.. U can test this at castlewars and see for yourself. Close the cw door and click outside and the flag will stay there until you move or open the door yourself.

It's also rarely given fits in Astralz for the banking. Luckily I believe FFlag will break after a short period of time if we've not come to the destination distance from the flag.

If I might add to what you're talking about, Fakawi, I've noticed the colors shifting quite a bit but much, much more often than every login event. Take this for example: have 3 or 4 of one type of item in your inventory, drop all 4, zoom the camera in and notice the difference in colors.

Thats nothing new. Has been like that for years. What Flight says. FFlag and Flag break out of that loop and try to click again ( I believe the timeout is over 30 secs?)

Seems like Jagex is really starting to focus down on us.

Stuff on MS seems to rotate in 3-4 different "main" colors and their slight variants, using a tolerance of 6 on all of those 4 main colors or simply using tolerance of 15ish has been succesful for me so far, also I don't know if they changed some of the items slightly, but I had to up tolerance for bitmap finding as well. ( I use bitmaps for inventory items )

Its not really a big deal, as long as you know this "problem" when you make your scripts.

I've noticed this for a week or so now but have been able to compensate for it. As long as we can work around it I don't think we have a problem.

This has broken one of my scripts that relies on uptext. :(

It seems the colours change constantly moment for moment. I tried a tolerance of 1, but even that did not work.

(Simba can't tell the difference between bright yellow and bright green. Wow, they really did something strange here!)

Edit: I had it working for 2 minutes, then the colors flucated too much and it began acting up again since it sees colors that arent 'really' there :P

SUPER edit: I got the script running (seemingly) flawless again. I think I messed up the script somehow. I still wonder how yellow and green can be within 2 range of eachother, though?

From memory, you would normally walk to the closest point to where you clicked and the flag would go away when you reached there.

From me trying to fix Flag for awhile I'm pretty positive it now disappears at minimum 8 Dist (lowest I've seen it) and highest I've seen it is 22. Bit of a gap now…

Basically you just have to adjust script to compensate like NCDS said. Whats a real pain is the big color changes during run time.

But the distance used to be 2 pixels iirc. The problem is that Radial and other walking tools break out too soon, causing (my) scripts to glitch.

In order to compensate I now use
while not ismoving
which gives me more certainty then the flag. Downside is I walk botlike, just like the old days

I think we could adjust that function and speed things up a bit.

Edit:
Fakawi, I recorded the pixelshift that occurs in the box on the MM (used in IsMoving) and it's a radically high number, no matter how long pixelshift records the count in that box. By default, it records pixelshift ever 500 ms so I decreased this to 100 and I still have the same result, but much faster detection of standing still.

function IsMoving_F: Boolean;
begin
Result := PixelShift(IntToBox(MMCX-30, MMCY-30, MMCX+30, MMCY+30), 100) > 200;
end;

I would recommend something like this:

function FFlag2(Dist: Integer): Boolean;
var
TimeMark, FlagDist, FlagDist2: Integer;
begin
TimeMark := GetSystemTime;
repeat
FlagDist := FlagDistance;
if FlagDist > 0 then
begin
if FlagDist <> FlagDist2 then TimeMark := GetSystemTime
else begin
if GetSystemTime-TimeMark > 10000 then Exit; //We haven't moved for 10 seconds.
end;
FlagDist2 := FlagDist;
end;
until(FlagDist <= Dist);
Result := True;
if FlagDist > 0 then Exit;
if ((CountColorTolerance(3467501, 720, 117, 723, 119, 80) > 1) or (SimilarColors(GetColor(725, 111), 6608616, 10))) then//This is from SRL (SetRun procedure)
Wait(FlagDist2*100)
else Wait(FlagDist2*200);//When we are walking
end;
