RuneScape players can use the RuneScape website to send up to 50 invitations by email each month. If a friend subscribes within 14 days of creating their account, you will receive a 10% boost in any XP gained for 7 days!

Share the provided referral link on your own website, blog or social networking page to invite as many friends as you wish.

Activate up to 5 XP boosts over the year from when the first one is activated.

basically that means.. recruit myself and get 10% exp O_o

Yeah I also saw that and thought it was awesome.
As long as they don't check/care about IP etc you can refer yourself, bot like crazy, and get some good xp for a while!
Wonder if you can do it multiple times per acct? I bet not :/.

Yeah well there's easy ways to get around the IP thing so I bet you could do it at least once. You'd just have to subscribe the "friend" via a method not linked to your PayPal or credit card. (Via RS Gamecard for instance.)

well in the case of WoW and every other game that has these types of systems & bonuses.. they like when people spend more money just to give themselves that bonus.. I doubt jagex cares if it's you spending money to give yourself a bonus? I didn't read the terms

and just read the terms, looks like it's on to refer yourself

This was implemented quite a while ago. One of jagex's fail ways to entice new players(read: bots).
