http://rsbuddy.com/forum/behind-scenes-december-new-rsbuddy-cluster-flutterer-continued-182941.html
The events of November have been extremely interesting and complex. There's been a lot going on behind the scenes, and it's about time I kept you informed.
The New RSBuddy
We've been working on our two new services: The RSBuddy Client and The RSBuddy Cloud. We've pulled together some very interesting ideas, new designs and begun writing our new client and server software. We're half way to our initial release and anticipate that this will be within the next two weeks. I'll be updating you with more specifics shortly.
Cluster Flutterer Continued
As you most likely know, some botting sites have attempted to explain what 'cluster flutterer' is and how they plan to get around it. In addition they have tried to explain the point behind some security updates to the RuneScape client and why they are "easy to get around". Unfortunately for them, they have missed the point entirely on both of these updates, and are in for some surprises. This is, of course, not surprising, but I thought I'd mention a bit of what's really in store for December!
Over the course of December, when bots believe they are 'getting closer' to releasing their updates, RuneScape will see some new internal updates. This isn't just a new cluster flutterer, but a whole new set of problems for botting clients that will send 'update' progress back to 0. This process will continue and worsen over time as bot developers fall further and further behind their desired release dates. That's not the end of the story. I anticipate that even the 'theoretical working bot' will begin to cause mass account bans over the next few updates, with much more rigorous detection methods. This will apply even to those silly 'screen scraper' bots that can't really do much anyway.
Finally, I urge you to stay alert for exciting updates from Jagex on legal proceedings. That's it for the specifics I can mention, so continue to enjoy a bot-free rs, take note of Jagex's great releases, and I look forward to hearing your feedback on our releases before Christmas!
Update: Our planned release date is 18th December, though this is tentative.
I just stumbled upon the website seeing if it died out yet… which it hasn't :/
But supposedly a new client

If what's a color bot? Who/What site?
I though Jacmob is just making a regular ol legit rs client what are you talking about? He's all legit now and rsbuddy is turning into a normal runescape fan-site.
This will apply even to those silly 'screen scraper' bots that can't really do much anyway.
Nope. Unless you make rs for the blind we win. He sad we still alives.

This ^^. RSBuddy is not making a new bot, and near the end of that quote there, he calls out our type of botting and says it can't do much anyway. So there is another reason why that wouldn't happen.
As for breaking color bots, I don't really think that is what he was saying. I feel like he is talking about making new methods of detection? Not really sure how this would work though…
I would never trust ANYTHING from Jacmob. Even if he is Jagex's new pet.

It's funny because
those silly screen scrapers have been around longer than anything. He sure is spitting out alot of insults about color 'bots', I guess at this point he's just mad that we're still going past Jagex's recent swipes. He must have felt very confident in their attempts to stop us, and upon finding out we're up and running as strong as ever he realized what a fool that made of him. I think he's embarrassed and simply blowing smoke. It's not something you'd expect to see from an adult, more of a child. :/

He
is a child. The way he acts is embarrassing…I've never seen an admin of a website as childish as him, especially in the last few months where he is really showing his true colors.

Battling color bots would be a ridiculous thing to do, but in spite of what has happened in the past few months, I take his threat/warning semi-seriously.
There are many things I'd like to say to jacmob but I would probably get infraction… So let me say it to you new guys…
RS will always be bot table with simba/scar/color bots in one way or another.
I am wiling to bet my life on it.

Just to quench any qualms about legal precedings hitting here, we have had no contact by Jagex, and we are at no risk.
We do not profit, and we do not have bots for RuneScape.
We have user written scripts that are completely open source, and our client is not written for RuneScape, you choose to use it for so. :)
Since 51 % of Runescape's Member userbase is composed of rulebreakers (stoners talking about drugs, scammers, botters and 'retired' botters), I feel confident Jagex would not perform any massbans.
As for breaking color bots, they would have done this years ago if it was even possible.
As some smart guy on this board wrote, they wont break SCAR before they make rs a game for the blind. :google:

From the way it was worded, I assumed he meant that the color botters would begin to get banned, not that they had a means to stop it. Im fairly sure I remember people in the past worrying about Jagex being able to detect it, but not doing so. So I wouldnt think that it's impossible for it to not be too far from the truth. Granted, it wouldn't surprise me if there were methods to stop them from being able to tell the difference, but I feel that it would be better to be safe than sorry, my memory serves me correctly, and there are ways for them to detect simba or smart (though memory also tells me that there used to be an obvious way to detect smart, but that was fixed?)

I might believe that they have/will step up their game in terms of detection. I for one have been getting significantly increased randoms on my accounts recently and my botting habits have not changed significantly.

Well i for one am glad Jacmob is convincing others the color bot is dead or soon will be disposed of. Less people using this bot, less people believing bots even exist anymore therefore the more anonymous are bots are. Less ban :)

Technically, we're not a bot. Simba is a compiler, nothing more. We run scripts in the compiler, and we just so happen to make scripts for RS. ;)

2011-12-16 18:15:36
So true. ^^^ yea breaking a color "bot" is near impossible but it does pose some problems to similar colors in which to what skill you're training. I've seen a better "bot" powerbot.org and they've been dead for awhile. Ive seen some screen proggies of people playing on different language servers and stuff like that which would be powerbots last release since bot-nuke day. So i don't get whats taking them so long. But back to color compiler ie Simba/Scar. The dude up there is right you would need to change colors every few minutes, or just set saturation really high so all colors would blend. They only way to break Simba would be to change the cosmetic appeal of the game, which, in turn would loose all their legit players.

It's just a client to play RS in, not an actual bot client. So why does it matter? (Just out of curiosity)
Mailandes
2011-12-20 01:30:56
I wouldn't trust downloading their Client, it might install some kind of spy-ware detecting bot software on your computer (for example Simba..), Jagex might get the information and will probably get away with it as the Client itself isn't made by Jagex and they don't need proof to ban you from RS.
Just my thoughts about all this new RSBuddy thing.
Whos care what he says…
My view his opinions went out the window when he started sucking up to Jagex.
Why make a suckup become popular.

I picked it up as, the program from RSBuddy might have code to search for programs for botting, like Simba. Nothing wrong the way I see it, but I can see where you thought that way. Had to re-read it to understand what it was saying.

RSBuddy was alive within a week (Runefest was 4 days after Nuke), and Jacmob even took a working copy of RSBuddy 1.5 (the one that was to be released), to RuneFest and showed it to everyone.

It makes me wonder where the proof it this lies? Did this ever happen? Or is it just a rumor he passed around to convince people RsBuddy would still work? It's easy for him to
say he had no problem getting around the nuke, and because it was
him saying it of course everyone believed him. I'm just curious as to where's the proof of this?

I highly doubt he's a better coder then the coders from rsbots.net, some of them actually have degrees in coding. He just developed a bot client like powerbot, he didn't even release any ground breaking bot technology, like nano walking which he promised years ago.
That's like you doubting the SRL developers capability in scripting. ;) Yet most of them do not have a degree in something like this. But they will eventually. You don't always need a paper to prove you can do something, you know.

Bros.
Word from PyroRyan (a guy who knows his fucking reflection well and often times posts deobs/hooks of the client).
Basically YES reflection is possible and can be back. He still to this day gets hooks and deobs the client. The PROBLEM is that Jagex can now (idk exactly how) easily and faster-ly take your ass to court if you deob the client ESPECIALLY if you make a public bot and are making TONS OF MONEY off of selling it/scripts for it, because that is kind of really ILLIGAL.
So now, in fear of legal issues and fees most/all ref bots are no longer being released/made etc.
^This is all just hearsay from PyroRyan, but he is a damn accurate source.
Also, I THINK JacMob is full of shit when he says they can stop Simba etc and color bots are noobish and pesky. Why? Since 2004 and earlier we have been around and NEVER died AT ALL, nor are we breaking any laws here or hacking the client so what the hell can they do to us? Nothing!

i dont really blame jacmob for leaving bots. He only started creating the bots in the first place because of his love for programming, hes a highly intelligent guy and if he was only interested in money he would have easily gotten a better job. Loads of people from powerbot may have felt betrayed by him but i think that he was going after a well paid job in that line of work for a while /:

I'm pretty sure he stopped RsBuddy because Jagex would f him up with legal fees and court if he didn't. And he would be making A LOT more money off of keeping the bot up (assuming no consequences) than 'working' for jagex or whatever he is thought to be doing now, besides making his client.

Ill admit it i used his client, it was very user friendly and tons of ppl used it because of it. But while reading alot of the posts and what he said and then what actually happend made me believe that he was being paid off by jagex or as others have said forced out with threat of legal issues. Either way he more or less lied on his forums about returning from the nuke and having his bot continue to work. The advantage to using color is anyone can learn it and make/edit there own scripts.

rsbots dont create bots, despite what they tell you. They get them and the client off nexus. try looking at rscheata and see the stupid amount of script they have there
weeps

Rsbots dont make the bot, they just resell it. And Jacmob have no proof at all that he fixed the client.
Hector (lead devolop on rsbots) have a degree in coding. Jacmob made a good client for sure but Rs bots had better antibans etc. And rs bots scripts were better.
I dont really see how they can take down colorbots without make big changes.
