What do you think the afterlife is like? Post your thoughts on Heaven and Hell here.

I would like to but it seems we have to many topics on this area of discussion (Relegion)… I'm afraid it will turn into a never ending argument as usual because most people can't accepting being wrong, and the flaming erupts… :eek:

Well, most people's view of heaven and hell is that Heaven is Paradise, the one with the Pearly Gates, and Hell is a burning pit of Fire. I notice that China and English view of Hell is similar.
And unless you are Greek(Hades only) or Egyptian(afterlife, I think it's a all around good place).

hmmm.. afterlife………… listen up people, afterlife is something that is made up. just like religion. We can't accept the truth of luck(not faith). Are you telling me that sum guy, 2000 years ago walked on water and stuff like that.? It's all too fuzzy if u ask me.:spot:

i belive that when your dead, your dead, gone, history, worm food

many people belive that life is something special and wonderful, i belive it isnt, life is plastic, artifical and manufactured,
it can be created and destroyed at will, hence, there is no afterlife or anything special, dying is the end.

Problem is that people don't want to accept this, they are scared and want something afterwards. They can't handle that this is it and their is nothing after this.

Humans minds are incapable of thinking about infinity. We can't hold the concept of Time. Think about it, (or try…:p) Imagine laying there, no thoughts, no movements, no itches, nothing. You can't even think about thinking. I cannot even begin to grasp this concept. It is unavoidable so may as well be enjoyed.

Hard question…Who is you? Can you really define someone as a living being? We may all live in a little 5-year-old alien's play set. The fact is we don't know, you might be in a dream. We might not even be in existence, for which we don't know. A fading image of a lost friend? You'll wake up in 5 minutes after a 13 year long dream? You may be in a coma ready to wake up when you die in your dream life. Really, someone can't be someone. We are never sure of anything, there is always a minute chance of anything happening, such as the Universe suddenly exploding. This is life, we can not fight it, we might as well go along with it. Head towards the light, be a "moth". For one day, you'll think about your life, all the happy moment, all the sad moments. And you'll think to yourself, did you have a good or a bad life? The answer will be in your head, when you pass through the human realm and onto the unknown. This is Life

Well, I mean, what happens after life? Is there just a black hole, devoid of life, or a Paradise, where we are treated for being good. Or maybe we become a star, spiralling up to the cosmos to join our people above? Personally, I wouldn't like it very much if the afterlife was a blackhole.

Any of those could be right.. We just don't know

Well, you might not necesarily be able to think if it was fun or not…As I said before, we can't grasp this concept.

I believe life is a thrill ride to have fun, so i belive in living life to the fullest. Don't think about death, why bother? Just live life to the fullest while you can and don't think about death because it still a very long ways away. Who doesn't fear it, honestly.

Energy can not be created or destroyed, but before you were born, what were you? You can't remember, you were nothing originally. It could be like that in afterlife, but we will never know.. It makes me sad thinking about the fact of nothing, but it also makes me sad thinking about spending eternity in once place.

I don't like talking about death, I will wait until I'm older and more wise before confronting this subject.

iv once heard that when people have their 50th birthday, their brain switches its default function from sex to death

us young'uns are always thinking about baywatch, erotica, desperate housewives,
but for people in their 50s, their mental screensaves changes from attractive actors to a dark character with a scythe…
wondering how they'll go, will their last memory be of a paramedic sliding his tongue down their throat, or perhaps in a hospital with tubes up their noses.
maybe thats why some elder people buy porches, its all an incredible urge to ensure an exciting exit from this world

on the other hand, iv also heard that some people never age in their mind, as ageing is simply a choise

belive what you want, although i think the former is more comical :D
