So I was mining iron on like 6 different accounts, and they had all got stuck in randoms, and I was doing them one at a time on the same world. So after I solved them I was lucky enough to still get a genie every time. So I spawned like 4 genies in a row on the same world, although on different accounts thats still a lot of genies in one area at that little bit of time.

So there's this level 64 powermining iron at the rocks.. and after the 4th genie I walk over to him "you've seen a lot of genies recenly haven't you" I say to him"

"yeah, 4 actually" he replies.

I say, "that's because I know there is a glitch to spawn as many genies as you want, you can level extremely fast!"

"I want it I want it I want it!" he replies as quick as a rabbit! (I'm high and trying to write like a story type thing for some reason… :) )

me- "I paid 1m for the secret, so I am willing to sell if for that price"

him - "I only have 500k, maybe 600"

me - "Well I want to help you, so I will be nice and sell it for 500k :)"

him - "Thank man!"

So were walking to the bank and he starts talking about hes gonna get scammed. I'm talking all serious like honestly you wanna see me do it again? so I told him to meet me at bank I will "already be there ;) " (I knew I had an account at bank with reward box)

So he gets to bank, I'm on that account like "wanna see a genie?"

Hes like yeah do it again, I spawn one and hes like ok I'll be back in 7 mins whens I've decided…

I reassure him I will be there, but I figured he was a lost cause. give someone 7 minutes to not make a spontaneous decision and they come to see the light of reason. I finish the last accounts random and set up my bots. Get back on the original account and wait right next to where he logged out in the bank.

He logs back in right around 7 mins as promised, and I'm like "oh hey bro I was just banking! nice timing :)"

Him - "Ok I will do it"

Me - "ok it only will talk 15 seconds to type so you wont be all waiting around nervous you were scammed :) "

Him - "Can I give you 250k first, then 250k after you tell me"

Now I'm not a scammer, I really don't enjoy scamming people. 78 positive feedback on MMOE :) but this was just a hilarious opportunity, spawning so many genies in front of a gullible kid :)

So I agree to the 250k, let him keep half of his money instead of saying nah thats not even worth it when I paid 1m! I could tell he woulda paid the 500k if I didnt agree :)

So I'm not that bad, he gave it to me, I said

"Told you it would take less than 15 seconds! SCAMMED! :) "
and turned my private chat off lol.

So it was mean, but when youve played for 7+ years as I have, everyone falls for a scam some time, and pulling one every one in a while just excites you in a way even pking can't :)

These threads always remind me of getting scammed for a gadder hammer instead of granite maul and mith scimitar instead of rune :p

I remember when I first became a member, I was on W2 trying to get items. I got scammed 100k, which was a hella lot back then. It was a two person job, lol. One was saying "Buying reed 500k" and the other one was saying "Selling reed 100k". I didn't know better so I bought the reed which was worth like 2gp lol.

Oh well, we live and learn.

One time, i was in the GE and someone was offering to sell a green dragonhide gold trimmed set for a decent price, so i decided to buy it. We went into trade and i offered the gp he wanted, but he cancelled the trade saying he wanted a bit more. Considering what he was offering for it was a great deal, i agreed to pay a little more and we went back into trade a second time and he accepted.

Unfortunately, it didn't even run through my head to check the set on the second trade and i ended up paying around 1.3m for a set of *regular* green dragonhide armor. I noticed like 5 seconds after the trade and facepalmed.

+1, I've also purchased Hollow Reed for like… 5M, later on I found out that I got tricked into thinking it was a rare item when you get it from doing legends.

TBH, I've never scammed someone. It's not in my nature. Someone could trade me a partyhat that I would return it to him. Why would and take it for me? It's only pixels, I can make one using Paint! lol
