To release scripts as public or members only?

I have been working on a lumbridge cooking script that will look through the bank account, figure out the best thing to make, mix the ingredients, get water if it needs it, and finally cook it. Should this script be released as a members only script?

On another note, what is the criteria for making a script a members only versus public? I have noticed that the members scripts section is not as neatly organized as the public section implying that all scripts should be released as public.

Tell me what you think the criteria are for releasing scripts as public/private.

I say members, and a lite version for public (if possible).

It's really all up to you. If you want the script to actually be used and you want more feedback then release it to public.

You know whut, I kind of liked the free script (power miner) and then the Junior member (banking script) we had back then.

When people becomes JR (Including me), they feel accomplished something and might want to go for more!

Come to think of it; there is a light version of this script: it's MSI's Al-Kharid cooker. It only cooks meat and does no mixing.

Does it make a lot of money (75k+/hr)? Is the number of users very influential on the profit (more leechers that run, the profit everyone gets goes down exponentially)?

If you answered yes to either of these questions, then it should be kept as Members. If not, let them leech away!

Yeah this script has the potential to make lots of money mixing ingredients, uncooked cakes, pie shells, and other uncooked things are usually double price of the ingredients around 400-500 gp. Fun fact currently cooked bread costs more at the ge then bread dough.

I would say keep it members+. Not just for keeping the profits high, but to keep the scripts that are available to members something to look forward to for new members. Inspirational if you will.

I usually release scripts to members if I still run them myself. If I am done with the script, I move it to the public board. Members give much more valuable criticism.
