I've been bored with scripting lately and needing something to do. If anyone needs a form made for their script Request it here. As stated above this is for members only. If you need references for how good my forms are ask around ;) Please check the rest of the post for information about requesting and contributing.

Request Requirements

I need all or most of these questions answer in order for me to better make you a form. Try to answer the question is the most thorough way possible.

1. A picture of what you want the form to look like.(ie MSPaint image) or any general Idea of What you are looking for. ;)
2. What the Titles and or values that are needed.
3. Any Banners or maybe even banner ideas that you might have.
4. Any Strings, Integers, and Boolean you are using in your setup I need a list of a what they do.
5. Are you using SMART?
6. Do you want the Player form to be able to save Player data?
7. Are there any special options that you'd like to have added?
8. Do you want a compact form or a large clean form?
9. Are you using multi-player?

Learning/Help creating Forms

If you would like to learn or need help with forms and know how to use git you can fork the repo and add a folder to the main Folder with Script Title and scripter's name. I can then help you fixed errors and or guide you on how to do something. It's simple and easy to fork the repo and push to the master repo.

Don't say that Hobbit might get me like he got Nava2…. I think there are probably people better at forms than me around. I just take my time and make sure it looks good and works properly.

You should check out MSI's 'new' form. ;)

I don't know that I would want you to make a form for me, but it might be nice to learn a thing or two about them from you.

New SRL Player form and service for securely storing names/information.

All other points are invalid.

I was working on that a while back. I probably won't end up doing the securely storing usernames and password bit but the form I could probably do. I think I had a couple different working versions awhile back. When I was actually looking to redo it. Never got to posting it though :(

All the security needs is to be encrypted with a master password and a SALT. Easy. :)

Dgby wrote up how to do it.

lol then could just have a pop up for loading and saving where you enter the SALT then shouldn't be too hard to manage that. I think one thing I was certain of last time was I wasn't going to do the Multi Army Tabs. He went overboard on the old SRL Player form.

One question do you use Smart? is it an option.

I updated the Git Repo last night with the updated changes to the Form including a set font and font size. I also fixed the bug with the background. You can access the information from the menu by calling

Tplayer.Varible

Everything loads to that upon hitting the start button.

I don't know what BraK's named it, but try something simple like changing it to Pass, etc.

Yeah, sure, I can help to fix little errors when I have time. :) (Although, I may not always have the time) :p

Meh I just do this when I have spare time. It helps SRL Scripts have a nice pretty setup for the script. Makes up more leech friendly. It also keeps the post down on thread where they can't figure out how to set up the Script. I'll add you when I get home.

FoodTab would be a range of 1 to 8 I think ? The number of tabs in the bank :p

Foodtype : the most practical and efficient f2p foods, atm my script only supports trout and lobster though, but I think i will implement tuna aswell.

Trained skill : attack, strength, defence :).

Hey Brak, would you enjoy making a form creation tutorial for Simba?

I'm interested in learning how to create forms on my own, and the tutorials for form creation are a bit outdated (I think the most recent post on 1 of them is ~1 1/2 years) I've been playing around with the form editor in SCAR but I'm not entirely sure what to do with things I have create to use them in Simba.

Form's between SCAR and Simba are the same, not much can change. Don't bother with any Form Editor's out there.

Who uses an editor? :S I certainly don't… lol.

A lot of people who make Windows Forms use the drag and drop options, I don't, I type out everything.

In General Tab:

Username and Password Boxes

In Team Tab:

ScrollBox: Blue, Red, Lost, Win;
+ Way to add information what everything means. (When I choose Blue it will show what it exactly means)

Combat:
Target: ScrollBox Players, NPCs
Attack Style ScrollBox (Melee, Ranged)
Attack StyleEx ScrollBox (Defensive Agressive Etc)
Use Special Attack: ScrollBox (Yes, No);
Use Quick Prayer: ScrollBox (Yes, No);

Advanced:
Use Breaks: ScrollBox (Yes, No);
If Yes is true then Break Setup will come visible inside that form( If no then they are greyed out)
Use Crash Smart (Yes, no) + Explanation what it means.

CPU:
CheckBox Let Script Automatically Set Refresh Rate.
If checkbox Is false there comes a Slider Bar From 0 to 100 (If it's not possible then just a Box where you can input 0-100);

@Patduffy Really the only changes that I can think of are how TImages are done and how Form PObjects are created. Otherwise DanCardin and Masterkills tuts are spot on. What Masterkill doesn't cover very well DanCardin goes into more detail with.

Brak, could you or anyone make a tutorial on this? I would personally love you sooo much and if that's not enough then I'm sure the rest of us would too!

@Yago Heh the tutorials that work are already out there. Masterkill's tut and Dan Cardin's tuts work but when you create the TObject in simba you just need to put the line TObjectVariable = TObject.Create(Parent object nil if no parent object) then inside the object parameters add the parent line designating the parent object such as:

 MyForm := TForm.Create(nil); //No Parent statement required for the Form Obect also notice it's set to nil
   With MyForm do
     Setbounds(); // Sets the width, height, top and left parameters;

   MyGroup := TGroupbox.create(MyForm); //Parent Set to MyForm not nil
   with MyGroup do

     Parent := MyForm; // set the Parent Parameter here.
     SetBounds();
   end;

E: Tickyy new form is in the repo. I just gotta re-add the hints then it's done.

E2: Tickyy Form is Done and in the repo. It has hints on everything try it out by hovering over each item. The form is pretty well commented on I think. So it should be pretty easy for you to maintain. I always add a "Form made by Brak" somewhere in the form can you leave it when you find it please. ;)

E3: I'm going to work on these based on interest and time. So the shorter ones might get more love at the beginning. P1nky I'm going to work on yours as you seem to check pretty regularly(and answer questions I have.) :)

Background or plain form? Back ground requires and Image, plain with some colors Doesn't require any extra files.

I'm by no means an expert, but I might suggest making your labels stand out more by either making them bigger or a different color or a different font or something. They are difficult to see as they are.

Yeh I did that right after posting:



I'll be updating the layout constantly before my script is actually updated.

I'll move labels down a bit more and add headings such as 'Player Setup' and 'Script Setup'. It will all look very nice in the end :D

Would it be OK if I started my own form making service for Jr.Members +? I really want to practice my skills in that area and I feel like it would be a great way to improve the public scripts we have on display.

By making it Jr.Members +, Registered Users can see the thread and aspire to become betters members as well as create their own, which results in better quality scripts overall.

If I do it for everyone, the truth is I'd get overrun by requests from Registered Users who would want me to make forms for their first scripts….
