And they're provided by Google, I think. So whatever the topic of the thread is (what's talked about the most in the thread, not necessarily the topic itself, I think) will influence the ad. As well as your history and what not (Google Analytics is everywhere).

If you visit a site that has retargetting enabled, you'll get a cookie and the google ads will show those over anything else.
As for the ads themselves, villavu has no control over what is seen. As yews said, it's based on what the text is related to, and keywords. If the two keywords "runescape" and "gold" are on the page, google ads will show ads that pertain to those keywords.

It's a called Google AdSence, the owner of this website has no bearing on what is shown. We definitely do not support goldfarming, even though it is advertised. We support players using their own personal accounts for gains, not destroying the market for those who want to play the game and have fun.
