Hmmm I've been thinking of getting 70 atk on my 1 def pure. And then go on to eventually 99 attack.

No, Ice barrage/dscim/claws are more than enough power
Trust me you don't want to fight Beserkers (We are way OP when we fight 1 Def)
Soo OP I actually got bored and got 78 defence, then eventually 99 to mage bank PK.

Don't go for 70 attack. D claws are overpowered.
