How "Bad" would it be to set a limit to how much a user of a script can obtain an item? Say, for this instance, frost dragon bones. The script would log how many bones in a certain hour span that the user of the script has obtained that day and write it to a file. If the maximum set bones for the hour is met or exceeded, the script will refuse to run anymore until X amount of time has passed.
Of course, the item in that example could be many different items that might have a script that's public, say for runite ore:

It is an interesting thought, but because everything here is open-source, there really isn't a way to do this.
Yes, but if the script user has no knowledge of how to change the maximum hour/limit on the item, it would work.

This would have one of two outcomes (or more, but these two seem the most likely to me). One, people will just re-release the scripts here without that, or provide 'fixes' to stop that from happening, or two, they will re-release those scripts somewhere else.
I think if someone's worried about it, they shouldn't release it to the general public.

Theres no real way to limit abusing.
