Hey guys, so I am working on a Falador West Miner that mines Iron Ores and it is getting pretty close to being done. However, just recently (when testing my script before starting to crack away at it) I started getting this error that deals with running out of memory…

Anyway, I'm hoping someone can give me a hand, I'd appreciate it.

What does the error say? try restarting simba

You only need to call SPS_Setup once at the beginning of the script…

Thanks, I wasn't aware of that. However now that that is removed, I am getting this as an error :

Exception in Script: Failed to create new thread, code:8

Hmm did you open/close SMART multiple times or something?
Try closing simba all the way, even go to task manager, and in the Process? tab see if any simbas are there and kill them. Then try again.

Will do, and will edit.

E: Yes, everything process wise that was simba related was killed through task manager, yet I am still getting a persistent :

Exception in Script: Out of memory

Are you reloading DTMs repeatedly?

Line 120, 133, 193, 206.. Remove the SetupSPS and put it once before the mainloop.

Also, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, remove the capital letters.. :< Its makes it miserable to read.

Already did that after my first change which mormonman suggested. SPS is being loaded once. After the player is logged in, then it is looping. There is only one DTM being used throughout the script and it is for banking the iron ores, which it doesn't even get to. So no, it is not loading DTM's repeatedly. Also, I'll remove the capitalization's, it's how I usually wrote shit… weird standards at school.

Please fix your standards. There's a section on them in this guide.

Does it highlight a certain line when the error occurs?

E: Someone else reported this, remove the SPS_Debug line and see if it works.

Genius. SPS_Debug fixed the problem. I wonder why though.

Iunno.. was happening to me.. I put SPS_Debug := True; n script stopped running -___- got memory ran out crap.. Now I'm having a hard ass time with DTM's and FFlag.. which is broken for me.. No one else seems to have these problems *Sigh*

DTM's are not that bad, they're still OK for using I believe. However they're going to be broken soon… Jagex really is making the items really ugly looking and distorted.

Not sure about DTMs, but there's a fix for flag in the repo. section, it just hasn't been committed yet.

Is FFlag messed because of dynamic colors?

Yes. Fixed versions of FindFlag and GetMiniMapDotsIn are posted here. I'm going to run a couple scripts over night to make sure, but I should be able to commit them tomorrow.

E: Oh, and I found and fixed the SPS_Debug issue for the next version. Silly mistake by me. :o

FindFlagEx2 is soooooooo sloooow!!

It actually takes the script forever to find the flag atm.. none of the flag fixes are working for me except that one but its crazy slow

Are you sure? Lol, it's fast for me; however, I've been testing, and it's not working properly for me. We'll find out soon.

I honestly didn't look into the flag issue very much, I just combined Home's and weequ's ideas to make them faster and hopefully more reliable. It is possible that the difference between the two pixels changes. If that is the case, then we could do it some other way…such as find any colors that are the same inside the flag and their location in relation to the black at the bottom.

Okay. I'm going to try a few things for GetMiniMapDotsIn if I can later. Narcle is working on Flag I believe.
