SRL Archive - Graphics and Multimedia

EDIT:This project of mine was originally just going to be a pass time to make some cool graphics for Srl user to put in their sig, similar to the MSI phoenix ones that already exist, but considering the massive interest in SRL Stat signature frames, I'm going to start creating some of those. The other SRL sigs that I created will remain here too though.

So here is how the project stands with current development.

• I'm working on creating frames for the SRL stats themselves, so is euphemism
• Camo Developer coded the php for this beautiful project, major props to him!

Also I'm working on creating a set of standards for the frames.
The dimensions that I think work the best are 400 x 150 for the main image, and 28px high for the title bar.
If you are going to create a frame please keep ^ these ^ dimensions.

If anyone else is wanting to get involved, please post here or shoot me a pm.

If not, you make the GFX/outline and someone with PHP do the other 1/2 of the magic!

I'm actually going to look at the Stat Sig API later and see if I can figure it out.. From the little bit that I saw earlier, doesn't look like it would be too hard.

SOO many people would LOVE to see stats sigs.
I want a BUNCH of graphics guys to make all kinds of different ones and then eventually have it implemented into the stats site so when users log in they can get the embed code for any of the multiple sigs of their choice!

Yeah, Frement is a BOSS at graphics and PHP, very talented!
He doesn't hang around forums much anymore, but occasionally he's in IRC.

Make some outline/template sigs!
However you would like them to look! I like runescape looking/themed stats sigs but anything goes!
I believe you can keep all text off since PHP can just grab the text/values from stats.

I'll start putting frames together tomorrow maybe… I keep having to fix my scripts that are breaking…

EDIT: this project is officially changing direction :p. I'm starting work on frames now, and I'm going to see if Camo would be willing to do the php coding.

Ok, so this is what I've done so far. It's all dynamic. Also, the page is styled or anything yet, but it's fully functional so far. Let me know what you think.

Next step is to get the script title working with the frames, and not an actual part of the frame.

You should have user stats too (along with the already ones you made for scripts) so each person can show off everything they've autoed!

Yeah, I took a break from this since I worked on it straight for about 5-6 hours. I'll add the new frames that Silent Spy has posted. Also, for the user stats, I'm going to build a whole new one to keep them separate. Will use the same frames, and the code will basically be the same.

Once I finish getting it built, I'll style the page and make it look nice.

Are we sticking to some universal size? As in, the size of the frames you have in the first post. And, further, the title bars at the top being the same height as well?

Yeah, need to stick with that so the code works properly.

Sorry I forgot to post the Title bar dimensions too. I'll get those put up.

I've gotten it working pretty good, it takes the script name and prints it out into the header.

Also, implementing absolute center of script name in title bar.

How about having time ran as a variable?

Also, make the output png please, the compression is pretty bad.

Erm, sorry for double post but I made an update to the code and images. I added a frame I made, hope it looks ok. Also, converted all the old images to PNGs and made the code output PNG files. Looks a lot better!

yep, the whole thing should be 400 x 178

And the bar is 28px high? Just take the "Script Name" text out and I'll throw it up :)

Like every script has the Time Ran variable automatically, how about an option to put that on the sigs.

I don't think commits are needed. Well, maybe make two different kinds. One would be mostly for the script writers, including totals of all players and commits. The other would be more for the users, their personal total time and what not if that makes sense.

Commits are kind of pointless IMHO. If the script has a shorter loop it will have more commits every ~5 minutes, but it won't really affect the total time submitted or anything.

Yeah, int comparison is so much faster than string comparison. Also uses less resources.

Thanks! I liked your font, but it would throw weird characters in the ones it didn't support. This one does spaces I believe.

I understand, life calls lol. That font was moody with what it would support in terms of characters, but I don't know why it wouldn't do spaces…

I meant it as, the current font will put a space in place of a character it doesn't support. The other one just looked weird when there was no support for a character.

This is awesome! :D

Some suggestions:
• Have the user pick what font, size and colour they want.
• Make the text in the center
• More templates/backgrounds if possible

Overall, the site is awesome!
