Ok;
this happened to me on several goes, the quick fix to this is to restart the script or program multiple times, as my woodcutter is now running flawlessly =)
also yohojpo just pm'd you =)

Its also with SRL. Recent update changed the Flag color? Because the Acces viol comes when calling all Flag related functions.

I am not sure what changes were made, but I use mDesktop which allows me to have 4 separate desktops. I usually have Simba running in its own desktop while I do all my work on another so it isn't in my way. When I switch desktops, at a random (pre-specified depending on conditions) time, it will just crash and I will get the Access Violation error:

I haven't tried another script to see if it happens on that too (right now it is with Pest Controller v8) but it only happens when I am on another desktop using mDesktop. I will try another script to see if it happens on that too. If it doesn't, I will forward this report to weequ in his Pest Controller thread.

I was able to capture the output from Simba:

Looks like Freeze is messing up somehow.

Apparently it was a mix up with a recent SRL update. I don't know if the fix was just committed or if it's on it's way. Either way this will be taken care of in no time.

Looks like it had to do with some Flag fixes:

Pretty sure Coh3n already pushed the fix for it.

Already made a thread about it. (Although your error is different that the one I posted, but I have seen it before)
I'm going to try merging them, I've never merged threads before so brace for impact!

Unrelated but GetMiniMapDotsIn doesn't also unfreeze when it exists.

Question: WHY is the client being frozen for this stuff?

Flight

Was it just not calling 'UnFreeze' before that first Exit? I put in that quick modification, about to try it out.

Edit:
Good question Harry. I dunno anything about freeze and unfreeze.

Edit2:
Didn't work. I'm gonna take out the freezing and see if that helps.

If possible I'd like a bugreport with the problematic code attached. I could see if we could give more useful errors next time.

Just delete line 38 "UnFreeze;" in flag.scar,

This is fixed in this[1] Simba binary. It should now report the error rather than crash. It was actually a bug in one of BenLand100's additions. :D

It's more of a temporary fix the remove line 38 so simba doesn't freezes and I think they haven't updated srl yet so you should wait for that.

If these tweaks benefit others, why not post them for people to use? :)

Damn

2011-12-07 13:21:39

I usually don't post my tweaks either as I don't have the 'cleanest' code

Edit: Response to Camo
Alright, but I'd still like to get some practice in before I start doing that. It's been many years since I worked with pascal/scar/simba. I keep thinking in terms of C/C# so I'll need to work with simba more before I'm comfortable with it

We can clean up the code later, that's not an issue.
