I am writing a paper for one of my uni classes about wether anonymous is truly a peaceful revolution as they say they are. What do you think?

[None of my research nor opinion provided so I can see what your uninfluenced (by me) opinion is]

There is no "Anonymous". Anyone and everyone can be "Anonymous". So the question is impossible to answer with a yes/no.

Depends what you consider peaceful, if you mean physical harm and property destruction, then yes, they're very peaceful.

And you can skim through this and see how none of those things are really damaging, they're obviously not "peaceful", but they're not really that mean either, just a giant joke.

Edit* Also what Harry said, that's the idea behind "Anonymous". Anyone can be Anonymous.

Anonymous to me really is a group, but with no definite members. Like said, anyone "can" be anonymous but most do not posses the ability or knowledge to. Anonymous does what they do for teh lulz of it, yet will set up strikes against unjust groups. Anonymous is basically just like the name John Doe but for internet attacks and pranks. I know for a fact Lulsec(I don't remember exactly how tobspell it), a group of infamous hackers/crackers, have used anonymous's name for cover.

They are a legion, made up of many, many people. I think as a group, they're peaceful as in not causing physical damage. However, individually, they can be physical.
