i havent fully tested it yet but it should work.

make 2 functions/procedure with someting like this

procedure first;
begin
Smart_Server := 10; {<<<<<<<}
Smart_Members := False;
Smart_Signed := True;
Smart_SuperDetail := False;
SetupSRL;
DeclarePlayers;
LoginPlayer;
end;

procedure second;
begin
Smart_Server := 11; {<<<<<<}
Smart_Members := False;
Smart_Signed := True;
Smart_SuperDetail := False;
LoginPlayer;
end;

with each another world, so every time you call up the procedure smart will close and open a new smart with out having to stop the script or restart simba.
call it every time runescape got updated.

the problem is every time you load a smart you keep adding to your memory until you wont have any left.

simba must be closed for the memory to be freed

BOBZILLLA sup?

Both are valid points. His "fix" will be fine for those of use that have 8 Gigs of ram+(if it does indeed work, i nvr tested :P )
What will it add to ram each time? if i'm not mistaken under 500MB. Say it restarts three times. Thats 1.5GB. Still leaving plenty ram until you manually stop the script and close SIMBA

not much just work and scripting and working on a secret project :)

i am not sure how much it will add, it will depend on what the script does i suppose, i have never tested either.

the more walking/areas that get loaded the more data i suppose.

tell me this secret ;)

I'm pretty sure not everything in runecape stays loaded into memory. My only reason for thinking this is if you walk from say, lumbridge to yanille and then teleport back to lumbridge you'll get that quick black minimap and it loads again. If you start walking around you'll have a black line/square on the edge of your MM where it hasn't loaded yet.

I really couldn't tell you tho… :/

One thing is for sure, JAVA will eat your resources like a monster, and the longer you let it, the more it will eat. :P

maybe later :)

yes possible some get unloaded but i am not sure, i know it wont free all memory until simba is restarted so how much its increases by is anyones guess

As stated through out the thread, if you actually read it, no.

So you gotta close simba? and close smart (manually close) won't do it?

Because I usually have simba running for like 10 hours when I am testing but I have smart open and close constantly.

rarararara, just typed an essay only to confuse myself more.

I believe the memory isnt used up in opening and starting smart, but in actually how long runescape in run for.

eg using simba for 18 hours, opening smart 3 times uses more memory than having simba open for 18 hours and only using smart for say 5 hours, but reopening smart ten times.

tell me if its still not clear.
