Nope. Not worthy of SSRL, at all IMO.
I just don't think he's trustable enough and tbh I find him a tad annoying/immature at times.

What zyt3x said. Also, he has been permanently banned before.

I'll give Ian another shot but it's really going to come down to what markus thinks as he was the one that was wronged originally iirc.

Well seeing as he already leaked everything that's inside here, no damage can be done so I voted yes.

edit: This was not meant sarcastically! Though he did leak some stuff, I don't actually mind him too much at all. He's no longer the suicidal emo kid he used to be (I think). Also, how did he get the leaked stuff? He never was SSRL so someone helped him.

Also, No closing of threads in SSRL, remember?

I do this because I think we need to refresh….and fast. I personally like i lufss. He has been around for a looong time, has matured and is active. that in itself should be quality enough, but ok…I wont shoot nomore.

I talked to him quite a bit. He went for counselling and has gotten a lot more stable. And to the permanently banned argument, so was Harry yet you want Harry in?

Yes

Show me some posts of him showing SSRL attitude and I'll reconsider my vote :p

Markus

Imo most, if not all, of his recent posts are a pretty good attitude and show he fits in the category SSRL material.
Of course he was perm-banned, but people change. Ian sure has changed, those therapy sessions served him well, both IRL I think and online.

I believe it was an instance when permissions got messed up for a few minutes and he grabbed all he could.

I could be wrong though.

I thought someone gave him their info?

E: I also changed my vote to a yes, he is infact different. I thought about this more and I do agree that he has matured a lot.

At first I thought that this was a joke, but it seems that you guys are serious. Am I the only one that finds him to be incredibly self-righteous and intent on sticking his opinion wherever he can fit it? Aside from that, I haven't seen any noteworthy contributions from him, and his history with the forum and its members was mentioned earlier and speaks for itself.

I'm just not seeing it.

I still have no respect for him, and I agree with everything Method stated.

I do have to say that he has grown in my eyes. I generally like his posts and his rounded knowledge. As for SSRL? Perhaps wait a bit longer, let him stew… is he a possible dev?

Not likely. I don't think I've ever even seen something hes written.

He's like the back ground 'troller' that knows things.

Edit:
No from me.

Are you suggestion wait on ssrl and consider for dev? If that is what you are suggesting, I am greatly confused by it. Dev > SSRL. Debs inhiert SSRL perms so that seems to make the point of waiting moot.
:/

No to dev. I've seen euphemism pump out much more dev level work than luffs.

I'm asking if he's got any Dev material my friend, that is all. As aforementioned, he's the 'troll' that knows stuff. Don't read too much into things, this isn't Naike if you remember that scenario.

It has happened before (dev promotion to overrule SSRL decision). EC iirc, or trilez? I do remember SSRL voting all no and devs+ all voting yes, so it got dev promotion to overrule SSRL that way. Fuck democracy.

It's only natural to be conservative in hierarchy, it is the living proof "power" works. That's why there used to be a great tendency to push no.

Yea I remember now. EC! was devved with a pretty much 45/55 poll, there's some fun story behind that but don't feel like posting that right now.

Markus posted at 3:14 AM EST. That's cool.

I don't recall much of what he did in the past to buy himself so many haters, but I've talked to him a lot lately on IRC, and he seems very mature.

Probably yes, but it feels wrong to vote based on anecdotal evidence gathered over a few weeks, and without any strict knowledge of his past.

Looks like he's not getting in this time. Seems like it's 50/50 now. Perhaps another vote in a month or so?
