Nov. 28th, 2011 ~ Walking errors with MSI

I'm extremely tired of answering the same questions over and over again. Yes, walking fails in some locations. Why? I have no idea, but it is not an MSI issue, it's an SPS issue. There are some things you can try to improve it, but until we can figure out the issue, you'll just have to try different locations.

[Admin]If anyone sees someone posting about MSI walking issues, please refer them to this thread![/Admin]

If you're having an issue, here are a couple things you can try:
  1. Make sure your graphics settings are set properly ~ highest brightness and everything else at the lowest.
  2. Open Simba/Includes/SPS/SPS.simba and increase the tolerance (line 54). If this greatly improves your running time, post here and I'll update it.
Thanks,
Cohen

How much do you suggest people should start raising their tolerance by for each test?
Wouldn't raising the overall tolerance while help for one location possible break another location?

Start with 0.1-0.2 increments.

Possibly, I'm not sure. But if someone can make it work for the location they want, great, they now know how to tweak it for other locations.

Guess we're getting a taste of what the more popular bots went through every day. ;)

Thanks, and it's probably not a bad idea to stop. ;)

If you haven't already post in the appropriate MSI debug sections. An update has recently been pushed so make sure to run it again and see if the error persists.

You might have to remake your walking points…I found that the points in my script moved quite a bit since the last update.

I already did that with MSI's.

It just doesn't make sense to me that it works perfectly for a few loads, then decides it wants to mess up.
