Let's Cut Wood

Hey guys. I've been on this forum for a few weeks now, and I thought I'd try my hand at making a script. It's a simple woodcutting script, but I thought it would be a pretty decent starting point. I followed a tutorial from a fellow member of the site, but it was from 2009 so this script may not be the best. Anyway, here it is:

Anyway, that's it from me. Just thought I'd like to give scripting a go. I appreciate anyone's help, and I hope I can add to this forum within the near future. Thanks!

EDIT: Yet more updates!

Features:
- Cuts Normal Trees (only tested behind Lumbridge Castle, should work anywhere). Perfect for new WC pures!
- Drops all logs when your inventory is full
- Good AntiBan + AntiRandoms
- Decent Progress Report (post them if you use this!)

Working on:
- Adding an awesome form
- Make the script more efficient (cuts more logs in a less amount of time)
- Add Oak, Willow, Yew support.

Thanks everyone for the generous help over on the IRC :)

User/pass are still in script, by the way. May want to change them and take it out.

You left your password in the script. Remove it, I just changed your password and i'll pm it now.

I can't believe I did that. Thanks for the quick heads up. It's a new lvl 3 account, anyway, so I guess I got lucky there. Learn from my mistakes, I will.

Back to business!

To answer your question, yes. You have no randomization at all to your colors, that's the first glaring error I see. It's gonna be clicking on that color infa100% of the time.

Mouse(x, y, 0, 0, false);
ChooseOption('hop');

Why did you do that? If you are chopping trees just make it left click
Mouse(x, y, 0, 0, true);

It's good to have randomization in the way it clicks. Sometimes when I play legit I'll right click and interact that way or just left click. It depends on how lazy I feel.

Still have a few more questions:

- Are the methods used in this actually outdated?
- Why is it that when it activates SMART, it won't log in? The red dot just hovers around randomly and I have to log in myself.
- After it logs in *ahem* I log in, the script works, but it just takes forever. Perhaps I could change something in my script?
- Can someone point me towards a tutorial on dropping the logs?

It doesn't log in because you never call LoginPlayer;. The methods aren't the best, but they aren't outdated, either. What do you mean by it takes forever? It's slow between trees or what? And dropping is pretty simple. For one, you could type Drop and then press ctrl + space and see what functions there are.

Standards, Add some randomness to your Mouse calls, and Standards. =)

Hey again guys, I've just posted an updated version of my script.

I've now included:

- A number of loads to do
- A Drop Procedure

The script is working, but not to it's fullest. One thing will solve this though, so here's my question:

My script currently clicks on a tree, cut's it down, but the it stays there, clicking on the base of the tree, and waits on that tree to re appear. There are two other trees around me but it won't even look for them, it just seems destined to click on one tree.

P.S - Thanks so much to euphemism, who helped me massively in the IRC chat. Also thanks to iamlegend, who helped me out with the FindColorSpiralTolerance part of my script. What a helpful community! :)

^ :) , i think isuptext is broken or something use isuptextex instead. or it could be that the colour that its finding is actually the base so the mouse just stays there because it actualyl found the colour and so return true every time. u can use TPA to fix this if its not the isuptext issure, have a look at my cabbage script again to see how the TPA's are done :D .

Good idea, but the uptext is working just fine. He said (on irc, you had no reason to know this information ;)) that it constantly outputted the error finding tree message.

Yet more updates! Would love it if people were to try this script out and see what they come up with!
