Yes i do have admin rights and everything i just dont kno why it does this!

Could be because you have ad or spyware installed, or maybe it's a rootkit. I dunno, sounds phishy to me.

Technically, it doesn't matter wether the key is created or not. All the key does is match .scar files to open with SCAR, but you can change that manually later using the filemanager. Or just right click a scar file, then select "open with…" and click on scar. Check the "Always open with this program" box and click ok. It gives the same result.

err well it doesnt always open with SCAR when i click the box "always open with this program" when i try to open a script and what is filemanager?
btw i dont have ad or spyware installed i downloaded it right from the offical site, i just want to fix the problem, is there any way i can make the key manually? Plz help

i think u need to be the admin of the computer..
log on to the admininstrator and install scar again

Reformat your HD if you have Registry problems.

Dude. Filemanager = windows explorer. And yes, you can make the key manually. Go to Start –> Run and type:

Regedit

Then browse to the key you want to create and use the registry manager (right click for new key or folder).

Make a new key named .scar, then create a string value with the following name:
(Default)
Now put this as value for the created string:
SCARScript

I reccomend you backup your registry before doing this; you might accidentally delete something you didn't want to and kill your OS.

err string value thing i didnt rly get but when i make a new folder and yes im sure i made it in right spot..i made a folder and named it .scar and clicked away then it said error while renaming key WTF! Do i need a new key editor or something like that?
Edit: I found out i already have a .scar key i tried opening it and it says cannot open .scar, error while opening key, what can possibly be wrong?!?!
