What is your general programming knowledge?
I took Basic in elementary, lol.
I took a half credit in Java, full credit in HTML, never took the exam for javascript, but I studied it on my own for a while. I also learned a little SCAR when I was still playing runescape about 2-3 years ago. I'm also very good at ruining computers by installing Linux on them and trying out BASH commands that never work correctly.


Are you a member of any other communities?
I had joined a forum for SCAR but have not been active in it since I quit runescape 2-3 years ago.

First off, I used to be a "merchant" in runescape before free-trade was lifted. The only reason I returned to it is because I stumbled upon Simba and wanted to give learning the language another shot (I never got very far when I tried using SCAR). I made an account in this forum just recently and watched the tutorials by YoHoJo to refresh my memory.

As far as personal I'm 18, live in Florida, work trading stocks and negotiating sales as part of a small investment company. I love learning about everything, including religion, and enjoy finance. I have the goal of learning about every world religion. Mainly for fun. I know it's weird, but so is liking economics, lol. Also, I'm mildly a health freak and think that flouride in our water is giving everyone cancer (among other strongly held health freak beliefs/conspiracy theories).

Please show us one (or multiple) of your scripts.

Needs to be a script using SRL that works on runescape that shows that you know how to use many different scripting techniques!

Hey Sriro.

I'm afraid your application won't be accepted. Your script is a good start but definitely too simple to be accepted. (It has zero if statements and therefore shows almost no scripting knowledge)

Learning DTM's and perhaps bitmaps would be a good next step I think ;)

You only have 1 post, no from me.

Let me compile all of your suggestions just so I can get a better idea of what is expected. Overall what you are looking for are scripts that use DTMs, Bitmaps and If statements and automates a task in Runescape (I'll go for something GE related since I'm usually there anyway) and for me to post more frequently?

Any other suggestions before I apply again would be much appreciated. Also, as you are all probably aware, the Uptext isn't working too well anymore. I can try and work around that, but it would make my script obsolete when it's fixed. Should I try and wait out until SRL updates, or not?

Wait until SRL updates, and check out the 'tutorial island' section of the forums. Read up, and learn all you can learn! Many different techniques and stuff. Take a look at others people's script to get some other ideas and inspiration. Then make a script of your own using all you know and many techniques to show you know your stuff, and then apply again! Good luck, like the attitude and that's 1/2 of it!

Here are some things I would call "minium requipments"

• The script should be longer than I'd say 200 lines.
• Preferably more than 500 lines.
• No copypasted code.
• Efficient code.
• Readable code (use // to comment your script so it's easier to read)
• It should show good knowledge of Simba and SRL.
• Search TPA tutorials. Use a wide range of SRL and Simba functions.
• It should contain walking.
• Like DTM's, RadialWalk, Perhaps SPS?
• No coordinate walking
• It shouldn't shout "Ban me"
• Randomized mouse clicks
• Randomized waits
• Antiban
• Failsafes.
• If plan A doesn't work use plan B
• No infinite loops

Also I think you should stay a little longer and be more active before you apply again. Usually it goes like this Registered user -> Junior member -> SRL member. Perhaps wait for 2012 before applying again.

Becoming a Junior member requires a certain postcount and a certain amount of time. I don't know what are the current limits.

It is better to create your script and publish it before applying for members. What will this help with. One is everything we talked about earlier "FEEDBACK." The fellow Users of our great community will help you learn to script better and telling you places in which you can improve. Most times when they suggest some for you to learn they 'll have and guide that they will point you to. If not them look in the "Tutorial Island" Section. When SRL-Members and higher think your ready most times they will tell you to apply for membership. If this happens then you have a good chance that you'll get members on the first try. If you don't then don't be discouraged you'll get important feedback on how to Improve yourself from it and can apply again.

Most of it has been said already. Keep on learning and you can reapply again in 4 weeks!
