I'm a programmer and play RuneScape, and have worked on everything from SCAR/reflection/BCEL/OpenGL bots and private servers, which is pretty much all you need to know. I could re-write a SCAR or Simba clone from scratch without looking at either's source code [and have actually written and tested the prototype code for stuff like sending key/mouse input and selecting the target window.]
Please show us one (or multiple) of your scripts. Beep plugin + test driver:

Sorry to say, but we tend to look for RuneScape-specific scripts for SRL members. And a decent amount of activity and longevity.
I will, however, say that you have the activity and intelligence to be a member. :) So if you are to make a solid RS script, I'd say you'll get in (wait a month or three before applying again, get your name around, etc.).
Good luck next time.

I want to vote yes because I'm biased towards fellow MITB members, I've seen your posts over there before and you seem to know what you are talking about. But unfortunately I can't because the script isn't RS related. You could probably write a great script without much effort, so I strongly encourage you to write one and reapply :)

I don't doubt that you could write a SCAR clone without looking at the source code - there is no source code to look at. I don't really have an opinion, the plugin is fine but I don't see any source attached, so I can't judge that either. You'll have to come with something substantial IMO - inless you're a very respected member over at MITB for example. Your posts in the Simba scripts section on mopar made me smile, but that's about it. IMO you'll need to come up with something substantial. If you really want to help the community out, being a SRL member is not a must and something that will follow soon enough once you do something substantial.

RE: SRL Membership, I'm applying since I'm curious what you have in there, e.g. any new insights on methodology. I see the main value in SCAR/Simba as a tool that provides input, rather than as a color finder / searcher. [Translation: don't expect to find me writing very much using the SRL library for finding objects / acting on them, I find other approaches as much more reliable].
The beep plugin was not intended to be anything substantial - it's just a wrapper around some Win32 API functionality. However, I suppose you can use it as an instructional guide on how to write plugins in general, as it is very minimal - there is nothing in there that is not necessary for it to run.
Also, my general outlook is that I'll release the source code to things unless it's detrimental to me (and I intended to release the source with it, which I just attached).

If there is "any new insights on methodology" it will be public. From what I have seen so far. So I wouldn't worry about that.
