I like the guy, and his name would suit purple really well, but because of his past actions (using a stolen script to apply, get banned by irritating people, mass highlighting on IRC and so on) I'll vote whatevah.
If he gets in then cool; another SSRL member, if he doesn't then cool; fewer SSRL members than it could be

Same as Zyt3x, for pretty much the same reasons.

He has improved more than I would have ever expected him to, but his past will always have an impact on his current image.

I like him, I think he "plays a good role" here at SRL, though I can't honestly vote one way or another.

I suspect its related to his antics on the IRC. The Finnish memes/image boards, pedophiliac implications, etc.

The only way I have seen him mature is that he actually does something apart from solely creating a disturbance now. And no this is not based of his need to spread loli and other perverted fetishes. Lately he has had quite a full head on his shoulders and has been turning into arogance. As of late I have seen him, more often than not, belittle and make fun of new people rather than taking 30 seconds to answer their questions.

It was an opinion when it was kept to yourself. When you stated your opinion here, it became your obligation to make an argument to back it. We're both right.

I can't say that I've seen what you've seen. I seem to recall him helping people when they deserved it and not so much when they haven't made an attempt to help themselves. This is only from memory, though.

But, I believe more importantly, he's been the one I've seen pushing Wizzup to commit changes to Simba and promoting other such development work. Even wrote a (admittedly hack-y) patch for SMART a few days ago…

Just because you only see Harry doesn't mean Harry is the only one. And I'm sorry I don't think nagging (couldn't think of a better word) is a great reason for ssrl. The patch I also don't feel is a big reason for ssrl. As I said he is doing stuff now, I'm not denying that. Though I feel he is still not ready for ssrl and not ready to represent the elite of our community. He is not someone I personally would want, at this time, representing the community in that sort of role.

If you would've asked me some time ago it would've been a definite no, but now I'll say yes. Aside from IRC (it really shouldn't even have anything to do with this considering all the (Furry`) spam, abuse, people randomly getting handed (half)op when they absolutely don't deserve it and the other nonsense going on there.) he is currently very helpful and does a lot of good around here. To be honest he is one of the most helpful and useful users on #SRL too.

Yes. I have objections towards the obvious flaws within his personality, but you can't overlook that he is very helpful and productive for this community.

I voted no, I find him incredibly trollish on IRC, constantly linking to offensive content and last time I was on he was discussing child pornography (joking or not it's gross). I realize he does contribute but if we compare the amount of time he acts mature on IRC vs immature, I find it a 5/95 split. Also I feel like he talks down to people.

Harry knows his shit, he's been an amazing asset to the forums. IRC shenanigans aside he is still very helpful on irc when it matters and on the forums as well. He isn't the same kid he was couple years ago.

Pretty much my feeling as well, I've seen enough of an improvement now. I say yes.

I've been gone for a pretty long time, and because of this, I shall not vote.

From what I remember, he was indeed pretty immature & irritating sometimes, but I know that people can change. Now, can someone update me about what has changed about him? I'd like to know tbh, so that I know what you're guys are ACTUALLY talking about =p

He loves SRL. Not 'he luvs the scripts', but he is an intricate part of the community. He is completely civil on the forums, almost all the time. Sure, his behaviour is slightly different on irc, but irc is different.

The times I have been on IRC he always seems to have an "attitude/aura" that he is superior, that is just the feel I get.

I do see him being helpful and I honestly don't know where I stand on this application, part of me says yes and the other part still says no.

I can honestly see him using information we have in here for his own personal gain and leaking stuff.

I don't think he'd do that, he's changed a lot. Like Narcle said, IRC != Forums. We all act differently when we are on there :p

I don't really feel like he'd be good SSRL material. I like him enough but he's not very mature. And regardless of whether IRC == Forums or not he is pretty disruptive there from time to time.

I think Harry's great. Not aware of his 'past' but he's always been helpful to me and I constantly see him helping others.

I voted yes but I don't really know him so I wouldn't know. He has been here for a long time and been very active though.
