My father in a coma...

I don't think I'll be posting much for some days because of some family problems.

Today my mom called me at school and told me she "had some bad news…"

Apparently, my father went in a coma-state while bicycling to work today. Luckily some people passing by called the hospital, and he was sent to the hospital minutes after

He has a fractured cavernous sinus and a broken nose. Let's just hope it's nothing worse…

Thanks everyone. He woke today, and everything seems to be okay, except the broken bones and the nose :)

I'm so glad it's nothing worse then what it is. It could have turned out much worse…!

He'll be 100% fine in 8-9 months says the doctors

So do they have any idea what caused it?

None at all… My mom and my sister think the bicycle just slipped and he faceplanted into the concrete, but he was gripping the handle so I think there was some kind of epileptic attack or something like that… He had a similar attack some weeks ago (1-2 months ago), but that was because of a beef tartar he had eaten (or so the doctor friend sitting at the same table as him and the 5 other doctors sitting at the table next to him says)

That's exactly what I'm scared about… what if they have mis-understood the CT or something or not seen that blood vessel over there in the corner or something like that…

Well with the analysisng technology they have today its pretty hard to miss a serious problem. Did they run any other tests other than CT?

CT Scan, MR scan, Blood tests and various test like counting fingers, testing pupils and so on… They did multiple CT and MR scans actually, so I don't think they've missed anything, but you can never be 100% sure

I'll be praying for his speedy recovery (in all honestly I prayed just now and probably won't remember to do it again) but you got it out of me once.
