So last night I was with 4 friends in my car smoking 2 blunts.
We were in a development where I go ALL THE FUCKING TIME to smoke weed.
Yes, those ass hole cops that NEVER go back there. JUST SO HAPPENED to show up…

Besides my obvious frustration of having to actually speak with pigs. I also lost my BRAND NEW bowl. Swear to God, I smoked out of it twice! I wanted to kill the cops.

My boy lost his grinder and his bowl. (I successfully hid my grinder)
Also I lost about 30$ worth of weed(only 1.5 g's of heads… nbd…)

I also got to keep half of the second blunt we smoked(hid it in my cigarettes) :D

See everything was fine. I put my windows down BLASTED the AC and it didn't smell like weed. 4 people(and myself) lit cig's to mask the amazing aroma of headies… One by one we were all questioned by the cops. Me and my boy were fine. We told the same damn story almost word for word. Pretty used to dealing with pigs… However, the ONE PERSON that doesn't smoke cigs still reeked of weed… Damn decision to save your lungs… :/

The cops said they were either:
A. going to confiscate and search my car on suspicion of possession of drugs.
B. i would remove any contraband(drugs/paraphernalia) and hand it over and they'd leave us alone with nothing on our records and no arrests.

After talking to two of my friends and taking their suggestion's i picked option B. As much as it tore me apart to give them two beautiful glass bowls and a grinder with a shit ton of keef in the bottom, i did it. :'(

First off, cops are not allowed to search your car unless you give them permission, they get a warrant, or they have reason to suspect you of something like possession of beautiful marijuana!

I understand that smelling weed on someone after they just smoked two blunts seems like a pretty good reason to suspect… :/

I had to call someone to pick us all up and i left my car parked overnight. (anti-theft was on ;) )
I'm REALLY pissed i lost my bowl and the weed, but pretty damn happy i didn't get in any trouble. I am 18…

What are your thoughts/input.

What constitutes a good enough reason for cops to search my car?
How would you have responded differently?
Do you have a special spot to stash things? My car's radio/head unit can easily be removed and there is a lot of space behind it. Not ideal but it works(if you can get it there in time!)…

I'd say you did a pretty decent job given the circumstances. If the one friend hadn't slipped up you probably would have been fine. I don't smoke weed anymore but if I had I would have just given up the two bowls and not the grinder, not with all that keef in it! Not sure if you live in a city or a rural area but parking in a development and smoking is considered extremely shady where I'm from. I'm in a rural area so we have endless amounts of back roads to drive on that are cop free :D

I'd never be in that situation as I choose to not break the law. However to answer your question, given the info you gave, they'd have more than enough reason to search your car.

I had no choice about the grinder. He was shining his light in my car, right in the center console and the shiny metallic grinder was OBVIOUS. My grinder was inside of a bag…

Keef is the saddest part. :( been saving that a LONG ass time for 4/20 :'(

Personally I think you got off fairly lucky considering some cops these days are straight assholes beyond measure, I was in a familiar situation about two years ago (at 18), and I ended up getting everything I had confiscated as well and getting a possession charge. I had two options with the charge, go to court and have to deal with the judge and get the charge on my record, or go through a program where you have to pay for it and go to meetings with other people who got caught for all sorts of things, crack, weed, DUI-s BUT by doing that I'd get the charged expunged (cant be seen on your record by anyone like employers or anything, pretty much like it never happened) and not even have to go before a judge. I went through the program, and since it was a minimal possession charge they didn't even put me on random drug testing, so the only downfall was dealing with the meetings weekly for like 2 months and I had to spend about 1000$ over the whole event. So I see your situation as fairly lucky, seeing as you don't plan to stop smoking weed? You'll probably run into situations like this in the future, just hope they don't decide to charge you. It's a whole slew of bullshit.

Honestly… you're so lucky. Same shit happened with me when I was parked back at a Tim Hortons a year ago, waiting on my guy to come drop me off some Mary Jane. A black SUV pulled up, and there they were, the fuckin pigs. Long story short my car ranked, and this was a first offence too, I was stupid and scared at the time and I got out of my car and let him search it (even though he had no warrant). Of course, he found the stuff, spent the night in the bin, and looking at two years of probation says my lawyer, no jail time though.

Tl;dr Version : You're a lucky fucker.

I'm pretty sure they don't need a reason to search your car.

On a separate note, I recommend dropping drugs and smoking, you'll live longer and healthier.

I say you got lucky, and if you had to get rid of a new bowl then you got away very good.

On the other hand, weed needs to be decriminalized at least.

I don't know how mirajuana is illegal when alcohol is much worse.
Anyway you did pretty good under the circumstances. Happened to me once @ school with my vice principle. He wanted to search my bag but I didn't let him. He had no right and I didn't have anything on me.

If your 18 then chances are you wont get anything on your record anyways, the courts always try to seek an alternative to a criminal record at a young age. but yer that could be like a fine or community service.

Don't be offended… but I think people who get caught smoking weed are like rookies and dumb… it's not hard to get caught… Find spots where it's normal for people to be around… usually outside houses (if Parents okay with you smoking cigs… than just light a blunt).
There are many spots to stash…. put your handbrake lever up take the cover out and stash in there. A lot of other spots but pictures would be the best way to understand haha. But hey atleast you didn;t get in trouble :)

That's spice right? I don't think it's the same at all, ive tried it before and wasn't the same high and theres been lots of reports of people dying and going to the hospital from it. It's a shame that they can sell that but natural weed is illegal when it's alot healthier for you and no ones needed to be hospitalized from it v.s that synthetic herb.. That's why they can only sell it by putting a warning label on it saying "Not for human consumption" because it's probably not that good for you.

I'm going to blame the number of people i was with. :P

Also, your stash spot doesn't work if they confiscate and impound the car to search it with dogs… :(

Maybe i shouldn't judge you and call you stupid because you like smoking something that is significantly more destructive to the human body and doesn't even slightly compare to the high…

yeah, the legal shit is terrible.
I put the same label on it as mids. I'll never smoke it even if its free and there's no headies…

And before people flip out, yes, I've smoked it hundreds of times…
But i'd much prefer MJ. The taste, smell, and feel is un-comparably better. The number of different highs marijuana offers. From the calm, to the one's where your head feels like its a chariot wheel in a race, to the one that makes you feel dead tired, but you do not want to sleep. I love just reminiscing about life, or listening to music and it sounding so deep.
Or combining different weed(all heads) :)
